Would love that but won't happen.

To be honest now Stoke have got Etherington Kitson, when he returns from injury, will be in his element.

Although that element will need to be somewhere other than the Stoke first team. You have to assume that Beattie is a replacement for Kitson.

I think Kitson burnt his bridges at the club when he left, apparantly he made a few comments which didnt go down well and his performances or lack of them at the end of last season will mean he wont ever be back here. Also if Lita really wants to stay and fight for a place then its unlikely we'd need another forward.

And Kitson and Lita in the same dressing room has proved to be an explosive mixture.

Despite all those "I really hope I can go back to Reading one day"s that he squeezed into his first five minute interview after he left? It was posted on here, video for some internet chatshow, Kitson was phoned up.

And fwiw Kitson was our best outfield player in the tail end of last season, bar possibly a crocked Little.

Marcus was our best player by a country mile at the tail end of last season - no question.

They need a player with the experience of beating them, in fact he may have beaten them in every start he made against them...

It's not Kitson. Word is he could be on his way to Sheffield United or Wolves now. United though lead the way if what I heard is true.

I'm only going on what a few people behind the scenes at the club have mentioned. Personally I always liked him and thought he offered us another attacking option, I wouldn't mind seeing him come back but I think its pretty unlikely other than playing for another side against us.

Hang on, a mate of mine talks about Kitson being linked with Wolves and Sheff U and I'm on a pulse? Behave. Jeez.

Might mean chuff all, but they're talking about his imminent exit. Exciting times
