Reading to Sign Italian

by The 17 Bus » 15 Jun 2009 22:23

Massive talk going around that Rodgers first signing will be a 12 month loan of a promising Italian young midfield player, connections with a certain José Mourinho are believed to be helping with the deal, the player had been looked at by Premier League clubs for a permanent deal, but Mourinho would rather see him spend a season in the Championship, where he will get games regularly, and then see how it progresses.

Sounds very promising, and its good to see Brendan using his links well.

Hopefully he'll be as successful as Daniel Pajero or Emmanuel Ledesma were at QPR.

I've been tipped off on this too. Apparently it seems Milan will be our new Cork City.

Is the name a coincidence? http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/players/stats?id=109994&&cc=3888
At Grossetto he was tried as CDM. Could be a replacement for Boris when he finally pops it?

Will be interesting to see how he slots into the team. Maybe he and Marek will be the partnership we've been needing.

Exciting times :D

I haven't seen a proper, decent name posted yet. Unless his surname is 'Italian'.

That's why this was posted in the "Unfounded Rumours or Gossip" bit. Because, you know, it hasn't been confirmed by the club.
Give it a couple of days though, Brendan can't stay quiet for much longer...
