I'm not saying he doesn't get any right. But he's got plenty wrong.

From Despair To Where?
Terminal Boardom My impression watching the clip was that he tended to dive in. Could be a bit of a liability knowing what the stanbdard of referreeing is.

That aside, he looked composed and comfortable on the ball and shoed some pace - realtive, of course, to the player he was up against. What we dont know was whether the player he went past was a clone of Martin Hicks or Michael Gilkes.

That was my impression. I don't tend to pay much attention to a Youtube clip because there's very little context but it does raise eyebrows that a 3 minute "highlight" clip shows 90 seconds of diving in and committing professional fouls. Fair enough if the player concerned is Vinnie Jones but a player dubbed the best defender in Scandanavia? What do I know though, I've never heard of the player.

How many Skandinavian players under 26 playing in Skandinavia can you name then?

That was kind of my point. I know nothing about the player so the only evidence I have to judge him is a Youtube clip that shows a player with pace and good footballing ability with an knack of diving into and mistiming challenges, but, as I stated, and a point you completely ignored was that a Youtube clip in isolation provides absolutely no context so it is impossible to to make a judgement on a relatively unknown player, either positive or negative.

Yet we have punters on here "deciding"
he will get sent off a few times a season
and "he should play defensive midfield"

a quick comment, "Wow he looks promising. A million looks cheap" containing "looks" twice

you understand the use of the word "looks"? It's not the same as the word "is"

hardly the same as discussing how many times he is going to be sent off for us,
moving him into midfield etc.

Yes I do understand the difference between using the word "looks" rather than "is". The key difference being that I don't chose to ignore it's usage when used by people with a contrary opinion to my own. You just seem to be blindly attacking people for pointing out things that do not fit in with your own opinion.

I've expressed no opinion of whether he is good enough to play for us or not, just highlighted the apparent strengths and weaknesses of his game whilst acknowledging that the source of this evidence is somewhat unreliable.

I'd have thought it was patently obvious to anyone with half a brain, that if the "looks" was not written down it was still there in spirit.

Personally I'd be very happy if this guy signed for us.

There's not many players who i'd like to see replace Ivar but Sölvi at only 25 could easily do the job...

Looks like a like-for-like replacement for Sidwell from seeing the YouToob clips.

:?:

He's a defender, Sidwell was a midfielder. How on earth is that like-for-like?

The tackling is Sidwellesque - bit wild, bit hasty, on the edge of legality.

Hair is different though.

What I like about this LIST, is all the soccer guff, and getting interesting "gen"
about the chaps in the team.

That inside-right for instant, the foreign chappie, and the left-half. All excellent bods.

Long may the list continue.
