music after the team scores (again)

by juanpablo » 13 Feb 2007 12:57

Seeing a lot of views on this, would be nice to see a poll

personally i think Tom Hark is a good wind up for away fans, it is a bit tragic though

i think we should play the song they play at darts, classic after a few drinks

No music needed now that we have 24,000 at every match. It's cheap and nasty, and we seem quite capable of winding up the opposition fans without it.

I voted no and no music, however it would be great for one game to have a Spanish styleee "Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal" shouted out on the tannoy when we scored.

Anyway FFS we don't really need another thread on this TH rubbish do we.
All it proves is that people on here do not represent the majority (apparently) and nothing will ever happen about it anyway.

I have had a good idea. Why don't we have a vote on Tom hark/ music after goals etc every month from now until the end of time. That way we can be seen to be exercising democracy to its best effect.

Or maybe not?

I have nothing much further to add, other than that I'd kill Tom Hark if I ever met him.

GET RID!

Just what is the point in it anyway?
It was brought in when the support, or noise levels were poor.
Now when we score the passion and the noise is fantastic!

GET RID, IT'S EMBARRASSING!

If we have to have anything at all, why not a quick burst of our man Girdler and his Na-na-na-na.... "SING FOR THE ROYALS" na-na-na-na-na

Good call, if we have to have any music!

Or Happiness, by Doddy.

As soon as we score we all reach up and start waving our feather dusters and British flags.

having not been to a game for at ages (and those that i went to we didnt score) i had forgotten how cringeworthy it was when we scored against villa. i say get rid of it and lets create our own atmosphere

I have just voted to get rid of the cringeworthy, embarrassingly awful plastic goal music.

May I recommend the removal of the equally cringeworthy, embarrassingly awful and extremely irritatingly rhythmically challenged drummer.

I don't need some self appointed chearleader to constantly pound away (mainly out of time) the same drivel, to supposedly create an atmosphere.

If he (unfortunately) couldn't attend the next game due to a terminal illness, or worse, his drum being confiscated by the Rhythm Police, I think you'd find that people would still sing, chant, jump about after goals.

And he and his crass cousins wouldn't be missed, one iota.

Get rid of the music and drummer.

Absolutely ridiculous that any club should have either of the above.

Agree 100% with alad. Instruments should be banned from football, as should music after goals. Music after goals reminds me very much of watching American sports.

BAN TOM HARK NOW!!

First time I have seen anyone post that! Blooming heck!

I took a Blackburn supporter with me to the Blackburn game (no shock there) and he said "Bloody hell - that's one hell of a goal celebration you've got! The whole stand shook!."

We were in the South stand - not a place for shaking really! So I say keep it! He was suitably impressed by the huge bloody great noise!

I think if they dropped it a lot of people would do it anyway, only plus is it wouldn't be fu*king orchestrated and the timing dictated.
Spontaneous celebrating, only.

Boot Tom hark & have selected music if certain players score. Music for the song we sing for certain plaers anyway. eg:

I reckon a rendition of Daddy Cool should De La Cruz score again would go down a treat.

I can understand why so many people hate Tom Hark, but not a drummer. it keeps the noise level up when things aren't happening on the pitch, although i get annoyed when he stars banging his drum about 3 seconds after we score, bad timing.

Anyone ever been to a big game in Italy? The support never wains for 90mins, mainly because they have drummers lined up all along the Curva making sure everyone sings & chants the whole game. Maybe our drummer should go there for some lessons.

It could be so much worse... Bolton's "I feel good" has GOT to be the worst.
