Being the clubs Chief Scout, is your moto " be Prepared" and are you involved in the World Jamboree celebrating the centenary of the Scouts?

Brian - How much scouting was involved before the recent signings were made?

Brian - One part of Equador has apparantley produced more international footballers per square kilometer than anywhere else in the world, Do we have scouts out there and if not, Do you fancy it?

Brian - handbags or bumbags?

Brian - Martin Allen famously flew to the wrong country in error whilst on a scouting mission for Reading. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

Brian - Do you scout players off the field to find out more about what they get up to and whether they're going to fit in.

Brian - Do you ever scout our own players? - Not just those out on loan but those at the club?

Brian - Are there any players at the club that you personally take credit for discovering?

Brian,

The reserve team are doing really well at the moment - sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League (South) Table.

I'm looking forward to the Chelsea match on Wednesday evening. Will Alan Bennett get a run out?

Why do we play our 'real' reserve team when most other clubs field a youth team?

Does performing well in the reserve league matter to the club?

Is it difficult to keep 'fringe' players motivated in the reserve team?

Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea to field a reserve side in the league, at Championship or Division 1 level - would you like to see such a move?

Brian,

Did you know that you share your name with Harlequin's Coach BRIAN MCDERMOTT?

How mad is that?

Do you find RFC easier to deal with than Eastenders?

Brian, Why do so many of our players and staff have an Arsenal connection?

How does a club build up a scouting network across the world - e.g. does Reading have "dedicated" contacts in various countries or do those contacts alert lots of different clubs to particular players?

How do you decide which countries are worth visiting?

Why do you think we managed to sign Greg Halford when there was so much interest from other clubs?

Brian

How wide reaching is Reading's scouting network now and what was it like when you first joined the club?

What's the furthest 'mission' you've ever been on to check a player?

Charlie Nicholas or Perry Groves?

How does scouting work, do you wait for a lead from one of the scouting chaps and then go and watch or do you just blindly go to games to see if any one catches the eye or does SC produce a raft of names that he wants looked at.

Have you ever had to escort a camel off your front lawn?

What's the quickest turnround to sign someone from the first 'viewing' and in general what the average length of time it takes to assess that a player is good enough to sign.

When you scout a player how do you assess them. Do your eyes never leave them throughout a game?

What was the greatest memory of you playing career and what do you feel has been your greatest success since taking up a managerial role?

Have you ever gone to watch one player and come away raving about another.

Is part of your job to scout Reading's next opponents or does that job usually fall elsewhere.

Are you related to Terry?

Do you only scout players or other staff members?

Does being a scout enable you to get into any game for free or do you have to buy a ticket like everyone else?

Do you get on well with rival scouts and what do you talk about when you bump into each other at games?

I believe Wycombe once signed a player after seeing him on Teletext, Do you ever follow up leads or read fans views on players from internet messageboards?

As a scout do you have to research and assess things like the players current salary, chances of a club releasing him and estimated transfer fee's before making a recomendation or do you simply file a report based on playing ability? - If the latter, Have you recomended Thierry Henry of Arsenal?

Brian, how far can you go in scouting? Are you happy doing all the leg work or would you like to be an akela one day?
