afternoon brian,

I'm overweight and out of shape, though I can score goals from anywhere, will you scout me for a potentional subsitute. I could come on in the last minute push people off the ball, net a few balls in the dying minutes. I will only accept 25k week wages or higher though.

---

by the way mr. dellor, i'm a man not a woman, though if the price is right I can be whatever you want me to be.

Has there been any players that you watched for the first time and instantly knew they were going to be something special?

Do you get excited when you spot someone you know will go on to make it?

[quote="That Friday Feeling"]Brian,

The reserve team are doing really well at the moment - sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League (South) Table.

I'm looking forward to the Chelsea match on Wednesday evening. Will Alan Bennett get a run out?
[quote]

Yes - a younger squad is expected

That Friday Feeling
Is it difficult to keep 'fringe' players motivated in the reserve team?

Adrian's Fool How does a club build up a scouting network across the world - e.g. does Reading have "dedicated" contacts in various countries or do those contacts alert lots of different clubs to particular players?

How do you decide which countries are worth visiting?

Why do you think we managed to sign Greg Halford when there was so much interest from other clubs?

Asked. Big European network and lots of work on the phone.
Lots of interest in Greg. Didn't want to go up North for a start.

8)

Also said they have a part-time scout in France and are trying to develop Germany, Spain etc.

Said we were a "good fit" for Greg and thinks he will prove to be a great signing. Also did he say (earlier) that we had watched him first five years ago under Pards or something? If so .. blimey
