Katie Marsden You're only a proper Reading if you were born IN the Royal Berks.

The rest of you are glory hunting out of towners.

Tosh! Plastic Readingensian or what?

Before the maternity unit was established in the RBH, it was sited at Battle Hospital. There was also the Dellwood Maternity Home near the old Elm Park ground by Prospect Park.

FWIW.

I was born in Townlands in Henley-in-Thames as well.

Henley -> Reading -> Oxford -> Reading

Smacks of a lack of imagination, although the only other place i'd really choose to live at the moment is Lonners. Remain flexibly-minded about moving wherever in the future should the right job/woman appear.
