Mac's First Forty Games

The Gaffer has been in charge, now, for 40 Games and won half of them

Counting the Northampton game as a defeat

P40 W20 D9 L11 72-51 = "69 Points" = 1.725 ppg = 79 Point Season = 3rd 2009-10 season

What will be most interesting is his points total from his first 46 league games.

What will be interesting is his first full league campaign and the quality of play during that season, that's all that counts.

I'd be interested in the number of goalless games Reading have been involved in where the opposition have had at least one player sent off and more than one player booked.

It would also be interesting to know of those 40 games, how many times has Brian worn 'flats' on the touchline as opposed to 'studs'?

What percentage of games have we won in the rain?

Are we better at evening games or 3pm kick offs?

What about evening games in the rain when McD wears a tracksuit and studs, and more than 3 yellow cards have been issued but less than 5?

you cannot deny that winning half of your first 40 games in proffesional management, with a team being rebuilt, and using alot of kids is great going.

Mac's fit in really quickly and things are looking reasonable despite limited resources and the league being tough as ever to get out of.

Spoke to my brother-in-law today... He asked when I thought we'd be getting the new manager we need.
I thought he must have been in stasis since December, but apparently not.

Told him I thought MaccyD is doing a fairly top job so far, so I hope manager changes are quite some way away.

Especially when you consider his immediate predecessor managed 6 in 23.
