Dani Alves a bit lucky to get in, bearing in mind he's not an automatic choice for Barca at the moment. Don't know who else merits selection... Pirlo? Baines?!

Kompany's unlucky not to be in it ahead of one of the 2 Spanish CB's IMO

Guess that: winning the Euros > not qualifying for the Euros (but fair shout)

Buffon could have been in with a shout, reaching the Euros final and playing for most of the long unbeaten run for Juve

The most stark exclusion is surely Andrea Pirlo.

Pique has played maybe 10 games in 2012?

I think an all Spanish league attack and midfield is justified, but how Alves made the team over Lahm is a bit stupid really

edit: Would also say that Kompany and maybe Thiago Silva are better than Pique

Jimmy Kebe would run rings around these Spaniards.

This team is fecking retarded!! No Pirlo! No Chiellini! No Lahm!

Pique should never be in any team of the year ever he is just awful. A glorified Titus Bramble.
