CONFIMRED - Oliver Norwood

by kwik-silva » 17 Aug 2014 12:53

According to twitter we're looking at putting in a £1.25m bid for him. Source appears to be Soriebah Kajue, who's written an article about Welbeck on the Mirror's site once...

The same guy also said he is a replacement for Morrison. Clearly knows his football

Haven't read the source, but in a sense he would be right as Hector has dropped back so the gap is really in midfield right now.

Got to be bollocks with Hammond the clear favourite to come in, and a lot cheaper too, but Huddersfield's version of TTE seem to think it might have some legs.

Would like us to aim higher. But would be a better option than Akpan.

SPARTA Got to be bollocks with Hammond the clear favourite to come in, and a lot cheaper too, but Huddersfield's version of TTE seem to think it might have some legs.

Hammond was supposedly dependent on Leicester making a signing and I believe someone has said Hammond played because one of their other midfielders got injured. So he's looking less likely.

Not sure how good he is in real life but always sign him on football manager. Something of a set piece expert if those stats are to be believed so could be a useful asset.

Reading are lining up a move for Huddersfield Town midfielder Oliver Norwood, Sky Sports understands.

Norwood is regarded as one of the best midfield playmakers outside the Premier League after joining from Manchester United in 2012.

A number of clubs have been linked with Norwood in the past with Celtic credited with an interest in the Northern Ireland international in January.

Reading are in the market for midfield reinforcements before the transfer window closes and have earmarked Norwood as their top target.

Nigel Adkins' side are thought to have made an enquiry about the 23-year-old as they look to lure him to the Madejski Stadium

Norwood did not feature in Huddersfield's defeat to Cardiff at the weekend and the recent arrivals of Jacob Butterfield, Conor Coady and Radoslaw Majewski means they may be open to selling him.

So the star, mirror and now ssn are on this. Doesn't mean a thing, but with Hammond seemingly being needed again at Leicester due to a recent injury, maybe we are moving on to other targets. Hudds fans describe him a bit of a Guthrie type. Can be creative but not a fighter.
