Gunter resigned because......

by fred sharpes nose » 25 Apr 2015 18:49

Is it true the club took up their option to sign him, not the other way round? Why ......because he is worth money - Wales international, Premier League experience. Don't be surprised to see him sold. Along with McCleary and Hector...big rebuild needs cash to happen, we will be raising money in all areas we can before anything else happens

Dreadful player. His crossing today, as it has been throughout his career, was farcial.

He is one of our better players and pretty consistent.......still reckon he will sold, don't think the Thais will be pumping much/ any new cash into the squad. They will let the contract excesses work their way out of the system, target next year will be keep the finances under control and avoid relegation

I'd rather we hadn't taken the risk of not getting money for him and just let his contract expire. Not that you're right about it being the reason we extended.

I guess Clarke just realised he had enough positions to fill without having to add right back to the list when Gunter might be adequate in a better team.

He has the heart of a pea. And he is shit at crossing the ball - unless the slow lofted ball to the back post that destroys any attacking intent is the new weapon of choice.

I read this post that Gunter has re-signed (ie quit). I was so happy for about 3 seconds. I hope we do sell him. He was useless yesterday

Same with Kelly - international & PL experience. Just a little older.
