Nameless Not a radical change surely. We saw for a month or more this season that we have the players in the squad who can play really good exciting football with a very solid defence behind them. The new manager doesn't have to make any radical changes, just restore the confidence to the side that was there in abundance not long ago.
You'd expect someone of Bergkamp's stature with solid experience at a club with a top class reputation for it's football would be ideal, but whether in practise he's the man we will only find out if he gets the job.
We also have no idea if McD can take the current squad and do any thing with it, he was great last time but with a very different sort of squad.
Also, if I remember rightly, McD didn't do well with Blackman. So how he would work with some of the new bigger name signings i'm not sure.
Whilst Bergkamp is unknown as an out and out manager, with the right backroom staff at his side he could be an excellent acquisition for us.
