Stadium screens

Does anyone else find them hard to read these days? Yes my eyesight may have got worse over the years, but so have the screens.

When I go to away ground, most of the screens are much easier to read.

I sit in Y20. Probably the worst spot.

I'd be in favour of us getting in a much bigger screen and moving it to the right corner of the ED stand. I would then have what is currently known as Club 1871 in the corner when the screen is now and give the whole of the South Stand back to the away supporters. Think it would work on many levels.

Club 1871 could be in that corner anyway, no need to move the screen.

There is if they wish to sit higher up, which I imagine they would. You could also have a much bigger screen over in the north corner.

Rather than wasting money on pointless stuff like this I’d rather sign a left back....

Maybe we could trade the old screen in for one. That screen is worth at least 2 Jure Travners.

I don't think the screen has got worse, I suspect it's more a case of they have changed fonts. I noticed it at the start of last season and again at the start of this season - both times there was a new font. At the start of this season, they tried displaying both team line-ups at the same time which was a complete joke - now they show the Reading team for most of the game and the visitors for a very short time. The ultimate fiasco was the Christmas raffle results.

To answer your question, though, Duffy - yes, it's much harder to read these days. I agree with OMA's suggestion, but would prefer to see 2 screens so that you can see one wherever you are.

There was talk while Gourlay was CEO of removing the screen and putting seats in its place which is a tiny increase in capacity as the original seats were squeezed in elsewhere around the back rows, and then two knew screens fitted to the front of the Dolan and South stands with sponsor panels either side.

Getting a sharper screen should be a new year resolution for the club

Maybe one for the future when there's a chance of actually selling all the other seats first.

Maybe the screen could do with a wipe? - It is out in the elements presumably unprotected 365 days a year.
