Judging by the first two, bring spare fingernails to chew on.

retro royal Like to see us play 3 CB and push Yiadom and Richards further up, sure it would suit us better. Obviously switch the Goalkeeper.

^^^ Relying on Yiadom for width is costing us in defence
3 CBs all the way for me

Yep, I'd like to see it tried too. It would get Morrison on the park, and help offset the departure of Barrow's width.
Miazga isn't the same player as a left sided CB, and may do better in the middle of a 3, Morrison-Miazga-Moore.
Even if we stay as is, with 4 at the back, then think he needs to switch back to Miazga-Moore, as it was last season.
Early doors, but as an experiment, I've seen no discernible improvement in Moore's passing (so far).

Ranty McRantface Going by who was left out of U23s and Gomes post match interview I predict this:

................... Rafael.............
..... Moore.... Morrison.... Miazga....
Yiadom.................................Richards
..................Pele.....Rhino...........
.................... Swift..................
.......... Puscas......... Joao.....

Subs
Virginia
McIntyre
Nova
Adam
Barrett
Meite
Boye

Ranty, you may be right with the prediction, but as I said last week, I'd prefer Morrison-Miazga-Moore myself.
I'm not yet convinced with Miazga as a left-sided defender, so play him central.
Morrison has played some at RB, so use him on the right side.
Not seen any improvement from Moore on the right (in fact, to the contrary), so move him to the left.

2 world wars, 1 world cup I never understood why we got rid of Morrison.

We were in a terrible financial situation and weren't in a position to reject the offer.

IIRC we had Pearce and Hector so didn't really need Morrison anyway.

Zip My first game of the season tomorrow as in hols for the Wednesday game

Got to decide whether to make it my second or not. Bit of a trek, and standing section too, for even only a mildly sprained ankle on the mend.

Stop being such a wishy washy Liberal Democrat and get your backside there. Are you travelling from Cambridge? If so it’s a long haul for a midday kick off

Yeah, 8.30 train realistically. Getting up at 7.30 on a Sunday isn't hugely appealing.

Would have liked to see McIntyre in for right foot left foot balance in the centre half spot

Unimpressed with Rino against Wednesday but not sure that’s the right call at all to drop him. It leaves a lot of impetus on Pele to hold

Pleased with the front two although Baldock or Nova need to be on the bench instead of Adam IMO so we have a natural striker on the bench

So Gomes has caught the RFC saviour summer insanity bug that Stam and Clement picked up then.

Utterly baffling.

If this doesn't work, he's going to get a thoroughly justified roasting.

Rino took a couple of knocks at Wycombe, I believe

I've forgotten how much this forum likes to jump to conclusions

With a 3-5-2 can understand the logic in Ejaria in for Rino - esp as we are likely to have the bulk of possession

More likely to get something creative from Ejaria

Not something I want to see longer term mind you

Don't think we looked particularly comfortable with 3 at the back against Wycombe, hopefully that game has helped.

Got a feeling Morrison and flint could have a bit of a field day from set pieces
