Just back from the game and I enjoyed that. Reading were very clinical and took their chances superbly. The Nevers goal in particular was excellent with a superb first touch before putting the ball away.

Sorry to see both Odimayo (who really impresses me every time I see him) and Liddle injured off. The Liddle injury in particular looked quite bad.

Not sure why it kicked off so badly at the end and amazed no Swansea players got sent off as I saw several punches thrown and Swansea players looked to have completely lost the plot. Not sure exactly what Burley did to deserve a red considering the Swansea punches were not punished. Although to be fair to the referee there was so much going on that he had an impossible job.

I thought all our players did well but as well as Odimayo and Nevers the stand outs were Howe and the young goalie who was excellent and I can see why there is such a fuss about him. He did not seem phased by anything and was as cool as cool could be under pressure.

And a big up to McCleary who put in a shift. I really hope that playing for Reading U23 is not the end of his career and hope that he gets a positive move in January.

nice report. It kicked off because Olise started showboating ridiculously which some of the Swansea players took exception to and gave him a rough tackle or two.

Yeah, saw that Marshall wasn't impressed at all by Olise there. There's a lot of potential with him but naturally he still has a lot to learn. Showboating at 5-0 up is not a sensible idea

I didn`t do very well last night - with the wrong player sent off :D I got the info from Soccerway who listed Azeez along with the rest of the team.

If there's a time for showboating, 5-0 would be towards the top of my list.

Agree, it's not good, but probably the best time to do it.

Agreed, if you can't show off a bit when you're 5-0 up, when can you? Sounds to me like the Swansea players lost their heads.

It’s humiliating to be losing 5-0 at any level though, seeing someone showboating wouldn’t help

I understand that but it’s a natural reaction when you’re being thumped to overreact in a bad way. Fair enough if the opponents deserve it, like Kébé against West Ham a few years back but don’t get the impression Swansea were a bunch of thugs. All it did was lead to an unnecessary red card for us, so not sure it was the right thing to do at all

Kebe wasn't showboating, he pulled up his socks.

That was some ball and take out to Howe with a peach of a cross for the first.

But the take and goal for the second put it to shame. Delightful.

Agreed, second goal was quality.

The ball forward to win the penalty was pretty decent as well.
