Royalwaster Kitson has regrets, Drenthe does not have any regrets - spot the difference. Think the story on Drenthe is a non-story of a complete tool. Kitson's is a much better story of an honest guy struggling with mental health but having the courage to speak out about it.
Kitson regrets not retiring after the 106 season, I find that hard to imagine a pro-footballer wanting to retire before taking a shot at the Premier League and all the cash that goes with it...... but it is clear Kitson is not motivated by the same things as your sterotypical footballer.

If you hear the Coppell interview, he regrets resigning after the playoff defeat as he let emotions make that decision and he wishes he'd gone away and thought about it - he said he might still have come to the same decision though.

Nice...that guy saved our last season as much as anybody else outside of the box.....hopefully his (busy) time with us is rewarding him with some decent payback on days such as these.

We were hardly asking him to do anything ground breaking. His role was to save shots and distribute the ball accurately, he could do neither. League 1/2 is just his level.

Harsh, thought he made some outstanding saves, keeping us in more than one game IIRC.

Distribution, a different conversation.

All goalkeepers will have the odd good game. He wasn't an horrendous shot stopper by any means, probably his strength. Wasn't great on crosses for a man of that size and like you say the less said about distribution the better.

He is a very good League 1/2 level keeper.

Gotta agree. Just was slightly bot good enough in pretty much all areas.

Decent keeper, not ideally what you'd want in to take you forward in the Chump, but adequate. Unless you ask him to constantly receive the ball under pressure and play intricate 5-20 yard passes.

Chris Martin was suffering from ulcerative colitis whilst he was on loan to us.

In fairness to him, that would go a long way towards explaining his poor form.

Yep. Just the thought of needing to leg it to the dressing room during the match would be enough to put you off your game, let alone the stomach cramps.

Agreed, but some people will take no notice of that stick with their original views.

Just watched Nelson Oliveiras instagram story. My god I miss having that sexy bastard on our team. He brought up our sex appeal at least 40%. And as you all know, that's what's really important.

So when we say a player is sh!tty, sometimes it's literal?

Was Chris Martin was suffering from intestinal problems when he was transferred to us?

Was that not taken into account at the medical? Did Derby know?

He’s now opened up about it being a problem at Derby, Hull and Reading...

As I saw someone say on Twitter, it can go undiagnosed for years, so it is a possibility.

It's not a condition where symptoms are consistantly evident either. Also, if you look at some of the symptoms; joint pain, fever, fatigue it can so often be misdiagnosed at first.

As for the medicals, I'm not sure an endoscopy is a standard procedure during one. I see them as a bit like an MOT in any case. You may be perfectly safe to go on the pitch but it doesn't mean your big end isn't about to pop out.
