Defence was all over the place, not least Otamendi, who passed it straight to Jimenez three or four times.

Do think it is time for Pep to bite the bullet and just stick a youth teamer in at CB, cannot be any worse than Otimendi. They'd gain a lot of valuable experience too.

Agree - but if he's not going to play Foden, there's no chance he brings in a young centre-back.

I don't think going forward he has many issues, with D.Silva leaving at the end of the season Foden will get his shot next season. Defensively they are completely shot so just reckon he could stick a kid in for a couple of games if anything just to give Otimendi a kick up the arse. FWIW I don't think Stones and Laporte are that great together either, they made a huge mistake not replacing Kompany.

It remains to be seen whether Pep trusts him - I dare say City will sign a £30m replacement for Silva to 'compete' with Foden. I think/hope Foden tells him to stick it over the summer and goes to Germany. I think he'd do a cracking job in Liverpool's midfield too, but that will never happen.

Yeah I have my doubts. I actually have doubts if Pep will even be there next season but thats another subject entirely.

Old Man Andrews
Sutekh Well what happened there then?

Man City lost 2-0 to Wolves m8.

And they can't blame it on the defence as they'd spent 80 fruitless minutes not dismantling Wolves own defence.

Winston Biscuit Appeal to CAS denied. FFP punishment announced next month.

Don’t get sucked into that rhetoric.
The current appeal was solely to have the entire case stopped.
Once a punishment is determined, then an appeal can be lodged

It will be a fine, something along the lines of half a John Stones, which will be a huge setback for a club of City's meagre resources.

EUFA punishments always feel like a bit of a dance before you get the real one. Once the appeal goes in and they reduce it we will see where we are

Still, exciting times for Shef Utd!

I believe it's at the choice of the FA as they get to choose how their spots are allocated out.

Wouldn't surprise me if they gave it to the FA Cup winners.

From what Martin Lipton was saying on TalkSport yesterday lunchtime City will undoubtedly appeal it and take their challenge as far as they can go. I'm initially thinking it'll get cut down to a one year ban, but if Lipton is right then they might push UEFA enough to stick to the initial 2 years.

This could have an impact on Pep's future too.

Early prediction - City's appeal will drag on meaning they play in next seasons CL while the argument continues.

And probably have FFP ruled an unfair constraint on trade or some such bollocks
