NewCorkSeth Atletico literally give no shits about nonsense like expected goals. Brilliant.

yeah they do! You just don't understand it!

was going to say, athletico strike me as one of the more efficient teams out there. Didn't panic when 1 down. Stuck to the plan. Helped by an immense performance by the keeper. Glad I watched that one.

I watched the PSG game.. regretting my choice now. Oblak really might be the best keeper in the world.

There is no doubt about it for me. He is top of the tree along with Alisson, Oblak has had a slightly better season. Nobody else really comes that close to them.

It's the FFP Bosman moment

City allowed back in the CL and fine reduced to €10m. Lol.

That's FFP fcuked then. Essentially the OK given to do what you want and then pay a relatively small fine at the end.

Leicester might well be lamenting their dire 2nd half performance at Bournemouth last night which looks to have put their 3rd or 4th place finish in great doubt whereas they and others had probably been seeing 5th place as a possible ECL qualification spot.

It does make for quite an exciting couple of final weeks both at the top and bottom of our Premier League especially as it will be all decided in such a short period of time with games coming "thick and fast" as the media informs us so often and an expression that could easily be applied to a few wingers in our game.

Final tournaments start tonight - quite surprised UEFA have scheduled the games at the same time, rather that back to back but hey ho.

CL tournament could have a problem as 2 Athletico players test poisitive ahead of Thursday's QF against Leipzig. Remainder of squad not able to travel to Portugal until they have all been tested again and returned negative tests.

Yeah, I’ve never really understood the full hype for him

He’s a decent player, granted, but no where near as good as he thinks he is. I always think joining PSG as a “top player” is an easy get out clause as it’s such an uncompetitive league

If Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs aren't looking at Leipzig's centre back Upamecano then they really need to. Top defender.

Heard his name mentioned a fair bit on Utd youtube channels...his wiki links us with him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dayot_Upamecano

Can't rem why they said he wouldn't be available

Sandro Tonali is another young player who looks good...to replace/backup Matic

PSG and Leipzig, and you would imagine Man City, in the semi finals

That's got to be one of the most plastic Champions League semi final line-ups in history. Hope Bayern or Barca win it tbh.

Bayern would be my picks out of the remaining teams. Really don't want Man City to win it or anything else for that matter.

Makes me laugh when the commentators talk about RB Leipzig only being 12 years old and coming so far etc. If I had the Red Bull money behind me I am pretty sure I or anyone else with football knowledge could get a club to a reasonably high level.

Seriously, what is wrong with investing in a team to make it better.

The only other option is the same old same old win every year.
And how many of those 'entitled' teams have done it without spending vast fortunes doing it ?
(Just prior to the joke that is FFP)
