Pepe the Horseman Barca are 5/2 to win tonight. I've hardly watched any European football this season, are Bayern really that much better than them atm?

Nope and in recent years Bayern have choked in the Champions League. I want them to win tonight but I can see Barca pulling one out of the bag. They have a bit to prove after their poor domestic season.

Simmops All the years of dominance are coming to an end now.

Came to an end a few years ago. They have tumbled out of europe after taking spankings for the last few seasons now.

Got some bang average players (for a top club) and have wasted eye watering amounts on failed transfers

Wow, what a performance.
When Bayern Munich slaughtered Spurs early on in the season I thought they were great but wondered if it was a one-off.

Watching their games towards the end of the Bundesliga season they were impressive and were far superior again the other night but last night they were something else.

They have the skills of the good Real Madrid and Barcelona sides but also the power long associated with some German and English sides and a real balance to the team.

As it is now knockout cup football anything can still happen but City and/or Lyon defenders must be quaking in their boots.
Fabulous entertainment and so out of keeping with many latter stage European games, especially when Mourinho has been involved.

German fans might have been depressed when Eintracht Frankfurt were stuffed by Real Madrid all those years ago but now with the World Cup win v Brazil ,and now last night, they must be delighted.
A better reflection of last night might have been something like 11-4 but for once a big game lived up to the hype-a shame though that it was only on BT Sport.

Terrible decision by refs to allow Lyons second goal when it was a clear foul.
But ROFL at Sterling.....that was a pathetic miss. One of the worst I've seen.

What a joke. Fully deserved, even when City equalised Lyon were the more dangerous, albeit on the break.

Your fullbacks are light years away from being good enough

Wan Bissaka is an OK defender but no more than that and going forward, he’s simply useless. Don’t see the hype over Williams, seems a bit average to me

Still, in the overall context of things, pretty meaningless, still in the CL next season

Williams is only in because Shaw is out...he's 19 and came through the ranks is why he's getting hyped, not sure he'll make it.

Wan Bissaka at the start of the season was a gr8 defender...teams didn't even bother going down that side. It was only towards the end of the season that he's had poor games. Him and Maguire have played literally every game. Does need to improve going forward.

Rashford has also reverted to type.

Your lack of football knowledge really shows at times, it is almost childlike.

Wan Bissaka is one of the top 3 right backs in the league. He isn't "simply useless" at anything.

Williams is a very good young player and if anything is under hyped.

Get a clue.

I think AWB has made the most successful tackles this season so to say his defending is just OK is a bit of a stretch.

Going forward he could certainly improve, his crossing success is only 14% from over 100 crosses which isn't great, but 4 assists from right back is fine, so far from utterly useless.

Don't really know enough about Williams, other than the fact that he is young and looks pretty energetic when playing. Thought Shaw looked back to his best before he got his injury this year.
