The usual line from Pauno et al is the next game is always the most important game of the season, but this genuinely is imho, a win and we are back on track with another (tough but) winnable home game vs Stoke on Saturday ahead of a very difficult run of games (fortunately basically all on Sky!).
Thoughts -
- As everyone says, the reaction after the first defeat is so important, a win and we are back on track, a defeat and everyone starts questioning the start we have - were we riding our luck etc etc. Seen a few pundits predict a PNE win already, time to prove the doubters wrong
- PNE away from home are very very tough, I'm hoping they come out and attack us - as that will play to our strengths and I'm sure the reason Cov did us on Friday is because Robins did his homework and was happy for us to have the ball and sucker punch us - which we have been doing to teams all season
- Moore being out (if he is) is a big blow after the start he has had, will the defence cope? I don't think the lad Gibson from Everton was the managers signing as was already lined up by Bowen - if McIntyre starts tomorrow I think that confirms it further
- Does Pauno stick to the same system or start Puscas up top with Joao? Could throw PNE if we start with a two.
- Will Ejaria return from his 'injury'
- Let's hope Meite is back
Up the Royals.
