St P’s already got his eye on this for his ‘portfolio’

Seriously tho’ ....shall we all chip-in and buy it?

Would make a decent HNA poster recuperation/retirement centre.

If it wasnt for the way the economy is likely to be totally oxf*rd post Covid and Bexit, it might make a decent investment opportunity.

Bit ostentatious and cavernous for my tastes.

I remember a documentary about Sir John Madejski and he took the viewer on a guided tour of this place, I think it was still under construction/not yet ready at the time.

Things I recall about it, facts that may be a bit twisted due to time:

He was hands on with the specs and made sure the shower catered for himself and any future Mrs Sir John with a tall inbuilt shelf for soap and a lower inbuilt shelf for soap, he demonstrated this on camera in the shower - thankfully fully clothed.

It was built with a lift so that his mother who was not in the best physical health could move in, but sadly I think she passed away before it was completed.

Sir John has other local homes, one in Hurst as I recall (I think that's the one that had a Ferrari in the gym behind glass as an ornament) and I think this home was on the market once before, He's probably settled on living in the one house and is just trimming down his portfolio. Maybe he built this family home anticipating having a second family one day.

Britain is going to be so strapped for cash after January that the government have decided to sell the "R" in Brexit. Rumours are the Fijian government have bought it. Britain doing bits in trade deal negotiations with all the major countries.

Oh and oxf*rd off you racist oxf*rd.

He's gonna need Nick Hammond to broker that deal - it's probably 3-5M overpriced.

Also - the thought of SJM and Cilla in that open-sided marble shower... It's a difficult vvank.

In my experience it's not so much the asking price as the upkeep with places like that.

You're never gonna feel too sorry for a multimillionaire but there's a hint of sadness in that to me.
