CountryRoyal Even if they were really close and could just about play I’d definitely err on the side of caution with this one. It’s a game where even if we had all playing we are up against and longer injuries could completely derail our season. Give them the extra time to be fully fit. On the flip side, losing 4 on the bounce could equally have a detrimental effect going forward. Tough one.

They would also miss Millwall away on Wednesday

Might miss, surely ?
Being borderline for a game on Saturday morning gives you a decent chance of being fit for Wednesday evening I would think.

Paunovic was suggesting they might need another week.

only up point to all of this is that the fatigue that was showing in the players that were fit should be gone. the only players that had any involvement internationally were George Puscas and Mcintyre I believe. Puscas had not had a lot of Game time any way and scored 1 so that may help is confidence and Mcintyre didn't play a minute for the U21s. would be interesting to now how many of the Bournemouth starting 11 have had a busy international period to contend with this may have more of a detrimental effect on them than us.

Well about two to three weeks ago Meite and Ejaria were borderline to play, so not necessarily, seeing as they still are.

Getting back to the good old days of Stam and Clement I see when players were continually on the verge of being back but seemingly never quite making it, but if they did then someone else went down with injury during the next game or in training to replace them.

He didn’t play for Ghana last time around so perhaps he’s injured again but we need him back. Esteves isn’t up to it defensively. His positioning is awful.

VP: 'Yiadom received a knock in the last game, unfortunately it's in the same place as it was with the previous injury. It's a concern'

Holmes is back.

He may not be a right back, but he can certainly defend.

Obviously excellent news but how does he fit in ?
Is he going to improve the starting X1 or does he just give us a stronger bench ?

Can`t expect to walk back into the team, but you don`t need to burn out a 18 year old, very good option in the squad.

Great problem to have, would be brilliant to see him back. Worth remembering just how many assists he had particularly in the first half of last year as well as general all round play

Bench. Gives us options in the more attacking role and can fill in at the more defensive one in a pinch or if we're dominating. Maybe give Olise a break every few mid-week games or so.

Going tk be wonderful to have him back challenging Olise for a starting spot. Pauno tends to take Olise off in the second halves anyway so should get some nice recovery time.

Oh and I mentioned this on twitter. Ejaria and Richards get fouled a lot so his free kicks will certainly come in handy on that left flank.

This is how I see it as well, especially the second bit. With a congested fixture list (as there always is), you can never have too many options.

Also gives an option if we're playing against a more defensively minded team and we don't need to play both Laurent and Rhino. Think he would've been perfect for Sheff Wed the other night.

you can swap him for anyone in that midfield tbh, he is such a good all round and intelligent player. And I'll think he'll thrive in this team.

The thought of him coming off the bench instead of Aluko is heartening as well, but I'll reckon he'll rotate with Olise, Ejaria and to a lesser extent Meite. Free Semedo up to cover the DMs

Definitely like a new signing, this is tremendous news, we can`t expect Olise to carry the AMD role on his own, he may need to be wrapped in cotton wool and rested occasionally. providing he is still here after January and a fully fit squad we can really push on.
What a nice change to be virtually free of relegation worries before Christmas.

First couple of games he’ll be on the bench, then comes the question, does he get used in a rotation system with Olise and Ejaria or will Rino, Laurent or Meite make way to be able to play all three of Swift, Ejaria and Olise.

I only know I’d not break up Laurent and Rino unless forced by suspension/injury and I’d want Meite to start wherever possible.

Anyone got an idea when Puscas is back? I’d much rather see him come off the bench tomorrow. Baldock will get bullied by Brum.
