You lads never saw Shearer play then?

What, boring Shearer? Fouling git, yeah. Not really the same thing. Plus I wouldn't expect Boca Juniors to have a minutes silence when he dies.

Not sure Shearer is in the conversation when discussing the greatest footballer of all time. His impact was negligible outside the UK. Has anyone in Argentina ever heard of him?

Don't think that's something to be "not sure" about. He certainly isn't in the conversation despite being a hell of a striker.

Phew
Wouldn’t have been surprised to see a penalty there
Great tackle from Moore

Not liking our "smart" set pieces. Might need to keep it simple. With Meite, Joao and Morro in the box just pump it in..

Can't Ian just stop posting in match threads? He completely ruins them.

Got lots of praise for the inventive set pieces earlier in the season.

Keep plugging away like this and sooner or later we'll get one. Just got to keep it tight.

Generally good. Enjoyed the game, good tactical battle between 2 decent sides

Bodes well we’ve been the better side against the team in 3rd and been the more dangerous side

Still can very much see it ending 1-0 to Bristol sadly

You think? I know that period we had Aluko and Ejaria on set pieces was particularly bad but even Olise had a horror with his cut back corner the other week.

I'm not he completely takes them over with his inane nonsense, completely wrecks them. Wouldn't mind if he actually was contributing anything accurate, he doesn't understand football enough to be as involved as he makes himself.

Back to looking pretty strong and organised defensively, still not sure what the plan is going forward though. Pass it around at the back for a bit before a long ball to Joao or Meite

Snowflake Royal Not entirely sure I back a minute's silence at Championship games for a foreign player who cheated our national team and was an awful role model

Wow. That is very Karbota like of you Ian.

He was one of the best footballers in history. I think it is well deserved.

Good half. Solid at the back Rafael untroubled, a spectator. Midfield on top, getting stuck in winning their personal battles. Could do with winning a few more second balls on the outside of our area. Joao working hard but isolated. Wide play could be better. Richards overlapping well and some decent deliveries. Meite really missing a similar fb on the right Holmes just doesn’t get forward enough to help him out. All in all a good solid half we have definitely looked the better team. Just need a bit more fluidity between the attacking quartet of Olise Ejaria Meite and Joao.

Solid performance, they've not had a shot but still have decent players to be watched

Looking far more solid and glimmers of this team getting back to where they were pre Coventry. Defence need to keep up the performance for the second half.

First goal will be crucial - just need to keep getting the ball in to João’s feet and the goals will come
