Zip Jeez. Awful second half. Rafael again lets a poor one in. Time for change in goal.

Apart from the Rafael clanger it was acceptable enough.

This. I mean, the ball was a week in the air. Was he blinded by the sun?

I’ve had it with him now tbh. Basically if you were the oppo manager you’d tell your lads to take every opportunity to shoot from range. That with the poor kicking and other mistakes - it’s just not good enough

skipper Well at least that decision evens out one of the 4 or 5 penalties we should have had in one game this season.

Apart from the Rafael clanger it was acceptable enough. Luton were piss poor but didn’t do a lot

So badly need Joao, Puscas or Meite back up top

Houndy. I’m not knocking it. With the awful injuries a win is a very good result. Let’s hope Joao is back for Swansea.
Other results have not gone our way.

The first half was definitely better but it wasn’t brilliant either. Meite, Joao and Puscas can’t back quick enough

Swift was a plus though I thought. If you can keep Olise fresh, Rino and Laurent fit, then we do have options across the midfield

Holmes filled the Moore gap very well

NewCorkSeth Yeah. Very sad that.

Also why no other subs? Does Pauno hate subs?

I thought he made the right decision. Luton upped their game, and there was no one on the bench that could have given us back control or calmed it down.

Swift seemed rusty, naturally. Glad Watson was involved.

Olise would have gone a long way to introduce some attacking threat. Maybe Nahum to give him some minutes in case we need to call upon him?

We needed to retain the ball in order to attack. I don't think Olise would have helped us there. I would *probably* have swapped Semado for Olise tbh. But on the flip side, where else is Swift going to get "easy" minutes to get match fit again? So probably the right call there.

I assume Olise is being sold, given he hasn't started the match today and didn't come on?

His distribution was appalling. There was one clearance which he just passed into touch because he took so long not making the clearance. He has been at fault for so many soft goals. Far more than Mannone who was hammered on here.
Let’s have Southwood starting against Swansea

Hound With the injuries we have it’s all about scraping the three points

Back 4 were all good. Esteves and Holmes particularly. Aluko good first half not so much second

Would like to see Semedo and Ejaria given a break, both pretty poor overall. Laurent the boss again, Rino good esp in the first half

Swift got better as he went and will be a big plus having him back

Looking at him limping away at the end I think Semedo will be an enforced break

Wasn’t his early injury a cut (like McIntyre). Can’t be too serious or he woukdn’t have kept playing. Probably bruised and swollen but stick some ice on and he’ll be fine in a couple of days....

I thought Swift did well when he came on. I think Olise will start v Swansea. I would be very surprised if another club had already had an offer in place for him. If we can have Joao and Olise starting v Swansea with Swift to come on we could get something on Wednesday.

Thought the back 4 were excellent throughout and never stopped working. Esteves had perhaps his best game.

First half was more than ok considering our injuries and Luton weren't in it.

Second half I thought Luton upped their game and we didn't really match their aggression and energy in midfield.
But for some lousy finishing on their part I think they would've got back into this

But great to to get the 3 points however it happens

I was disappointed with that performance. Especially 2nd half but a wins a win. We'll lose Wednesday if we play like that.

By the far the better team in the first half, would've been 3-4 up with a full strength team. Second half was just a typical 2-0 performance.

Spot on with these comments.

Very professional performance from an injury ravaged team. Two excellent goals.

Baffled that Rafael can’t deal with long shots.

Excited by Swift return.

Can now unleash Olise fresh on Wednesday.

Semedo, Aluko and Ejaria were all totally ineffective once the tempo increased and we were pushed back.

Oh and just for the traditional after game comment. How bloody good is Josh Laurent and how did we manage to pick him up on a free/why was he playing for Shrewsbury last year etc etc

WHile i agree Rafael should be up tomstopping shots like that you also have to ask why we seem to be allowing teams free shots from 20 yards so often. Surely with Rino and Laurent we should be absolutely solid in that area of the pitch and not giving teams the option of a pot at goal

Almost a match for Lee Ndlovu at Brackley

If only I knew how to insert a pic
