Pepe the Horseman Unrelated, and apologies if it's already been mentioned, but how big are LuaLua's thighs?

Don't think its been mentioned but you are certainly correct

Almost a match for Lee Ndlovu at Brackley

If only I knew how to insert a pic

Wowzers.

Thanks Pepe

Impressive eh?

Can we take a minute to appreciate Tom McIntyre? Completely written off after his horror show against Preston, but his touch for the goal at QPR, his ridiculous finish and overall solid performance today, shows what an asset he is. Hope he's here for a long time.

Hound Oh and just for the traditional after game comment. How bloody good is Josh Laurent and how did we manage to pick him up on a free/why was he playing for Shrewsbury last year etc etc

The fact he stands out so much illustrates how much others lack.

What an incredibly negative way to look at things. For his position Laurent is quickly turning into one of the best at this level. We need to tie him down to a new deal this summer.

He signed a 2 year deal on arrival, presumably on pretty cheap wages. Is it worth signing him on for a longer term deal now? His career has been an upward trajectory since joining Shrewsbury, and a recently relegated team or even a lower PL team may consider him worth a look. He may find attractive clubs interested in him this summer, at which point he'll only have 12 months left. We need to get better at tying down our best players.

We need a sporting director or DoF to deal with those but yes if we can get him tied down to a new deal sooner rather than later we should.

Indeed, the only relevant comparison is with Rino, who has hardly had a poor season.

NewCorkSeth Yeah. Very sad that.

Also why no other subs? Does Pauno hate subs?

I thought he made the right decision. Luton upped their game, and there was no one on the bench that could have given us back control or calmed it down.

Swift seemed rusty, naturally. Glad Watson was involved.

Olise would have gone a long way to introduce some attacking threat. Maybe Nahum to give him some minutes in case we need to call upon him?

Yeah, I think Semedo (sh)would have stayed on but for his injury, and probably Ejaria come off. Think Olise on would have given us more inventiveness and tempo, better keep ball. Most likely to play Baldock in as well. But Swift absolutely needed minutes under his belt. And yes, with only Baldock available as a striker, we should definitely be giving NML 10 - 15 minutes here and there, especially when ahead by more than one goal.

Edit: whoops wrong quote, talking about allowing long shots.

Thing is, in football you'd normally much rather the opposition blaze away from 18 - 30 yards than work their way into your box. Unless you have a keeper who can only save scuffed dribblers if they're from more than 8 yards.

Most of the long shots have been very save able

The Brentford one, prob not. But most of the others

I know you hate square pegs but moving Baldock to the left and bringing NML on for Ejaria could have been good. Keep the work rate of Baldock on would have been useful. Olise on for whoever(although apparently had a hamstring problem according to Pauno) and Swift definitely needed those minutes.

Snowflake Royal Got to assume Olise is gone if he's not getting on for this ugly 2nd half.

Tight hamstring by all accounts.

I dont love it, but I could tolerate it.

Baldock does work wide, but has to be narrower than we play, more as a front three.

My PoTS at this stage too. Absolutely superb. For the Bowen haters he joined us because of his previous involvement with Bowen.

Yeah, away from centre-back, he's been a real asset wherever we've played him

Is this a dig at him at CB or are you agreeing with me? Or both? Cos he looked great at CB last season. He's basically had one bad game in 20+ appearances.
