Well done and the last quarter of the game without a striker on the pitch. Good to see both Omar and Swift. Raphael MoM for me. The big story for Royals is that we're still in the top six with so many starters out.

Kasey Palmer was comically bad for them. Basically the subs for both sides changed the game

Lowe looked a real handful - and they put some lovely crosses in - did well to survive them

CountryRoyal
genome Decent point, Rafael MOTM by a mile (Ayew!?). McIntyre decent too.

Decent?!

Come on expected more from you...

Well it would've been 4-0 without Rafa, but, I guess that's what your keeper is there for

Snowflake Royal Really well fought. Top point that and a really good performance given the missing players.

Good to see Richards back and Swift get more minutes.

Presumably Esteves out, Richards in and all shift right.

Thought esteves had a decent game overall. Holmes not at his best today I didn’t think - lost a lot in the air

CountryRoyal Swift has to start next game, we were actually competitive and arguably the better team when he came on.

Agreed, actually gave us the option to get up the pitch. Thankfully Olise had a shocker in front of the cameras.

Yep Olise was pretty ineffective, losing the ball several times
Don't like him out wide though

CountryRoyal Terrific point. A bit fortunate but will take that allll day long. One game closer to getting Joao back.

MOTM Raphael.

Swift changed the game. Gave us a foothold in possession and agree we arguably looked the better team with him on. But hamstring injuries are well known for recurring if players are rushed back too soon. I'd stick with bench for Huddersfield and give him 60 minutes or so in the cup.

Excellent result tonight, and indeed a useful stretch of results since Birmingham given injuries

Yeah which makes the point even sweeter :D

I also thought Holmes had a good game. What a season he’s having.

Not sure on that - made a couple of very good saves - everything else was pretty routine

I can say it without jinxing now, but to be honest I never felt Swansea looked like burying a chance.

Yes, some very good reaction saves from Rafa, not taking anything away from him, but plenty of opportunities for them to put it where he had no chance and they fluffed or made it saveable on every one.

Can see why they don't score much.

An excellent result. I wanted Rafael dropped but he was superb tonight. Just how dangerous is TMac from set pieces. He deserves to stay in the side.
Once Swift and Richards came on we looked much more balanced.

Encouraging.

Yeah definite temptation to throw swift into 90 mins. Agreed would rather keep him on the bench until after the cup game

Could be exciting times with him back, Joao, Meite etc etc

Yeah, looks really comfortable at this level now. I remember when Stam dropped him in out of nowhere and Alfie absolutely rinsed him, poor lad.

Yeah agreed. They put some very good crosses in, but couldn’t see where else they could hurt us

Not sure how we got away with that.McIntyre and Holmes started poorly, but then really dug in,all credit to them.Semedo and Baldock waste of space.Ejaria was a disgrace;fanning around in dangerous positions.Rafael kept us in the game time after time, easily MOM.Olise not going anywhere based on that performance. My god their managers ugly.

Thought he defended ok but was otherwise disappointing.

Thought Holmes had another good game.

With Joao, Meite, Moore and Yiadom in the side we would've won that match.

I was gonna say Estevez as well. Did really well and as the game went on worked hard at breaking those little triangles up that gave them a lot of success at the start. Won a lot of tackles as well.

I have zero complaints. However, as we all seem to be saying quite a bit these days, with Joao, Meite,Moore and Richards fit and starting I fancy us to have won that.

Especially when you add Richards and Swift in and around the starting XI as well.
