Sanguine I think Thiago stays and maybe Keita, there's a gem of a player there. And maybe Liverpool's strategies and tactics might change. I'd love to see Elliott come back and get a run in the side, but it will involve that front three getting broken up.

I'm not 100% convinced Klopp sticks around, you know. He has spoken before about walking away when the time is right, he did that at Dortmund and wasn't necessarily up for the Liverpool job when it came along. He's looked pretty broken these last couple of weeks, of course related to his mother passing, but I wonder if he might walk away, not least if FSG's approach stays the same. An Mbappe or Haaland would put a new stake in the ground, but I can't see the owners funding it.

surprised he hasn't taken some time off and I don't think any LFC fan would begrudge him, either.

I was all over the shop for about a month when my father died.

and Klopp is a normal person.

BR0B0T 6th :?

With your in-depth analysis like this do you think that the season stops now and West Ham finish above Liverpool in 5th or even higher?
A marathon, not a sprint.

If you would like a small wager of a few hundred or so I would happily take you on and bear in mind that West Ham are 2 points ahead so an even money bet?

Surely you expect some response when you post every day in this thread?
Everybody on here can read and therefore see league positions , results etc in newspapers or on websites without you wasting time and poster space.

Solid performance indeed, I'm just surprised LFC-obsessed Brobot had nothing to say :P

A (relatively) short bad patch doesn't make them a bad team at all

Likewise, one good result doesn't put them back where they were

I still don’t think performances were really too much of an issue. Sure, they weren’t hitting the heights of last season, but that’s almost impossible

The main issues were missing sitters and giving extremely cheap goals away (admittedly two huge factors) - partly down to a lack of midfield

Another huge game this weekend for them, where Everton really have struggled in recent seasons

Agreed. For 70 minutes at Leicester they were clearly the better side but, where last season they'd have continued for the last 20, they ran out of steam/luck/talent/whatever
Apparently, they are human after all

Yeah, you would have thought he might want to bring everybody up to speed on last night's score which he does so often in case we missed it.
Recorded the game and watched it after Reading's game-good to see Liverpool playing once again at a high tempo which suits them best.

Really need to drop Thiago - becoming a real hindrance to this side. Again, will reiterate he’s not a bad player, but we’ve seen Liverpool play in these last few years at a high tempo, balls over the top, with Thiago in the side there’s too much emphasis on finding him rather than going more direct

Go back to being a long ball team?

Not a long ball team but they played fairly direct and it worked well

It feels like with Thiago in the side, they try and walk it in the net too often. Difficult to solely blame Thiago but it seems the whole mindset of the team has changed since his return from injury

Great stuff. If the chasing pack all win their games in had they will drop to 9th. Klopp needs to go.

Give over. There's no way in hell the most successful manager they've had will go.

If anything it shows how much they relied on big virg

What, when you are current League Champions and likely to be in the quarter-finals of the Champions League?
Klopp has a lot of credit in the bank with supporters and owners who are not as dozy as you seem to be.

Spurs still gonna win the league?
