Jinx Sky reporting rumours that Ashley has approached Rafa to come back to Newcastle. Can't see it happening

Thats pretty crazy because Moyes is doing a good job there, might be a bad decision

Hopefully, he can get a result against in the Derby tonight!

No chance he’s getting sacked yet with the payoff they’ll have to make

They'll get 150m when they flog Kane in the summer. That'll cover it.

Lennon resigns as manager of Celtic. What a shambles they’ve been this season.

Surprised he lasted that long to be honest, going from a period of such strong domination to something like 18 points behind. In his defence, it must be difficult to motivate the team to an extent, their seasons do pretty much follow the same pattern!

Yes it’s a massive challenge to compete with 1 other club

To be fair though he has managed it with some style, be interesting to see if that is maintained if crowds are ever allowed back and Celtic have Eddie Howe (or any fresh face). If it is repeated with some style again then might England at last have a manager who could win things at the highest club level, would take a move to a top league to be able to prove that though.

Fwank early favourite for the job. Would be good to see him and Gerrard battle it out on the touchline.

Perhaps Stevie G deserves a bit more credit because of where Rangers were when he took over.
He has built a team not spending much money and made up of a number of English Championship players and the performances in Europe have been extremely good.

He definitely appears to have the makings of being a decent manager which, arguably, is unsual to see with regards to players who were in the top level of players when they played. Though it is perhaps becoming a bit more common.

Be interesting to see where he heads to for his next challenge - I would imagine he would have more than half an eye on when Klopp moves on from Anfield.

I think it is a natural succession.

He deserves more than a bit more credit. They should be putting a statue of him up outside Ibrox.

I'd be wary of overstating Gerrard's ability just yet. Celtic have had it easy and been coasting for a decade and, as has shown in their recent European excursions, have got soft. Gerrard has done well to re-establish Rangers as a real force in a 2 horse race and give them a bit of steel and consistency but let's not go proclaiming him Klopp's heir apparent quite yet.

As for where Rangers were when he took over, they had finished 3rd, which for a team with their resources, in that league is underachieving. This isn't a minnow he's taking to new heights. I can also see them dominating for the next five years whilst Celtic sort themselves out but I'd like to see what Gerrard can do in a more competative environment first.
