National league North and South season has been declared null and void. Following voting from the clubs, the season has ended with no promotion/relegation to or from the divisions.
The National league( step 1) clubs have voted to continue the season.

Obviously without any relegations

Just promotions

A ‘free-hit’ season for all those in the ‘Conf’

No wonder Dover have furloughed their staff/squad...many more to follow?

With the National League at Step 1 voting to continue, there's a question mark over what happens with Dover Athletic.

The club has said it “will be unable to fulfil further National League fixtures until appropriate funding is made available.

Yup......but the “no relegations” being the caveat currently.

Lots of (probably and moreso the part-time teams) can pretty much stop playing and paying...just field the kit man and his wife etc

Risk free?

Out of interest re: the ground share with Bracknell will that only happen if Bracknell are promoted to the Isthmian Premier at some point or is that slated to happen only when Bracknell finally get to start building a new ground.

****** well should be risk free! Given the special circumstances the National League should simply expunge all records of those clubs unable to continue, and carry on as normal with the clubs that are able to play, then start again next season (assuming there is a next season) with everyone ready to go.

Those clubs at the bottom of division 4 still have something to play for then!

At the moment all clubs playing their fixtures tomorrow with the exception of Dover- if they are not prepared to play games with a competitive team, throw them out !!

Not everyone is happy with the National league North and south decision to finish the season.

....and for those that have played the game thus far and are in the promotion slots (Hungerford anyone?), who would be happy?

Same down here with Poole Town who looked like being right up there for promotion.
The shame for these teams is that they might not be able to keep the same players for next season.

Still, there is a pandemic and, after all, it's only football played at an amateur (sort of) level for fun.

Eastleigh coming with a fantastic run of wins, they dropped silly points just before this run as well. Be amazing if they can squeeze into League 2.

Well not much has happened down at Bottom Meadow this year
The pitch is still torn up and every time I've been down for a kick about with my youngest there doesn't seem much progress
I always see car parking as one of the issues down there

Couple of our sides featured in National League games last night:

'Magpies' undone 2-4 @ York Rd by local rivals Aldershot. Sh!ts led 3-0 at the break, hosts got two back in 7 mins through Orsi-Dadomo and the visitors were given a Red Card on 70' .... but no further drama until Aldershot snatched a fourth goal, deep into injury time.

Eastleigh drew a blank at Wealdstone. - top two Torquay and Sutton both grabbed away wins.

The 2020/21 non-league season at Steps 3-6 has been curtailed with immediate effect.

The decision is subject to ratification from the FA Council.

Lots of leagues proposing Spring Cup competitions for April and May, assuming fans are allowed back in. Plenty of interest from clubs by all accounts. Im guessing County Cups might be back on the agenda as well?

Looking forward to Foc's Friday updates!
