I have an AST and can guarantee that i will not be able to make all of the games (cant make Wigan or Chelski for starters).

I'll glady pass on for cover-price-only those that i dont go to if anyone is interested.

Ian Royal
Jimbo
The_Cat Do you think i'll be able to get a ticket for sheffield united with 389 royalty points?

You'd probably get a ticket with an old elastic band and some belly button fluff. Why anyone would choose to go to Sheffield is beyond me

quite enjoyed my trip to hillsborough. didn't seem like that bad a place.

mind you I've heard once you leave the centre it becomes shit city.

We're not playing Sheffield Wednesday in the league this season... HTH.

royalsteve wow just checked

heathrow to newcastle £22 return with BA, ah plus £43.80 tax/surcharge   - still damn good though and much cheaper than by car - assuming real cost of at least 20p/mile - (unless there are lots of you)

only prob is you have to get flight next day - can you sleep in the ground?

hopefully the game will be moved to a Friday or Sat :D

Flight times
LHR to Newc - Departs 17:30 Arrives 18:40
Newc to LHR Departs 06:30 Arrives 07:45

Newcastle Airport to St James is a 15 - 20 min taxi / bus ride. The stadium is right in the city centre and dead easy to find. Cheap flights are also available from Bristol (Sleazyjet)for those who live a bit further West. Similar timings to the LHR flights.

Whenever the current airport situation sorts itself out, just supposing another one develops around the time of this game?

Newcastle is only about 2 1/2 hours on the train from Kings Cross but considerably cheaper than the plane if booked now.

Or catch the Metro which runs from the Airport to the City Centre and then change for St James Park, like im doing!

Liverpool, Everton, Man U, Man City, Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn, Sheffield U, Boro and Newcastle all within 2 hours for me. That's 10 aways for starters. Good thing I've got enough Royalty points to get tickets on the first day of sale as well as parents who live 2 miles from Madejski to get them for me.

Personally i think the novalty will wear off quicker than most people think.

Unless they turn out to be 6 pointers we will not sell out at Newcastle, Boro, Bolton, Wigan, Blackburn, maybe even Chelsea given the time/date/cost/tv coverage. Remember how much those factors had on our following at Derby & Palace.

You also have to remember that some of our games in the 2nd half of the season will be moved to unsociable kick off times.

A lot will depend on how well we do.

I very much doubt after picking up about 1 point on our travels by January it will be hard to get a ticket for any away game, London games excluded.
