The tannoy

by Nobby » 12 Aug 2006 21:16

Maybe I am getting old but from the back of Y21 today I couldn't hear much on the tannoy at all. Did anyone find the same problem? I couldn't even hear the music when we scored but people were dancing to it.

Music when we scored did seem very quiet, I have to say.

Nothing in Y23 either. Plus they showed the vid before the game with no sound.

I was still listening to my Discman, and I can confirm that the video works very well with Hope of the State's Nehemiah, especially if you time the climax of the song with the climax of the video.

Maybe they felt if the crowd couldn't be bothered to turn up then they couldn't be bothered with the tannoy. Anyone know what the attendance was? Oh, it's on the OS. 9,267. Poor show.

Yep, it is indeed.

Feyenoord looked like they'd never heard it before.

i guess some people used this as a protest at the joke price increases.......at the moment everything is rosy as demand is outstriping supply....but sooner or later the bubble will burst.....

Couldn't hear their goalscorer, extremely muffled and low volume.

Did no one notice how much the tannoy was cutting out last season? particularly in north stand.

Appears to have become a bit more general around the stadium as i could hear very little in East stand.

They need to get those speakers fixed.

Email the club saying which stand and were you sit. I think the correct email to use is customerservice@readingfc.co.uk

IT IS A SPEAKER SYSTEM, NOT A TANNOY. TANNOY IS A BRAND NAME.

Surprisingly, the PA is working even less well than it was at the back end of last season. They need to turn it up a big so that we can here what's being said over the noise of our fans ( )
