tribal football says west ham have offered him 40K a week

is it allowed for them to be offering him contracts without asking us?
or have they asked us and been given permission?
or is this tapping up?

would we break the structure for him, like we wouldnt for greedy bollox?

will we call shorey greedy bollox too?

would you swap reading for east london?
would 30 K plus captaincy be enough to keep him?

Tribal football is a load of shite, I wouldn't believe a word it says.

It also had an exclusive about Fae signing for Man City.

He'll only go if we choose to let him or he makes it clear he wants to go. Neither has happened at the moment (in public at least) so I'm not going to worry about it.

Hardly surprising it had the Fae signing yesterday - we signed him yesterday !

There is nothing to say West Ham have made any kind of offer so they won;t have offered him a wage. And if they have offered him 40k I would imaginehe'd be insulted given that all the other Hammers seem to be on much more than that !

as thats what they are reportedly offering

Well we don't need to sell, if we felt that £7m and a move was good for all parties then yes.

TBF I think we'd probably end up repeating the Sidwell situation than sell.

Absolutely, and what's more, he's still got 2 years on his contract. So we can get another year from him and still sell him at (a marginally decreased) fee next summer. That's if he doesn't sign, of course. I can't see much worth in the club selling right now.

How does this rumour still rumble on? Does nobody listen to Nicky Hammond, or better still, the players themselves?

His best mate who is a hammer and posts on our boards is still insisting that he is happy to stay at Reading.

Well, why don't you listen to him instead of letting this rumour rumble on pointlessly?

I do, which is why I've pointed it out twice on this thread.

So what's your point?

Oh man, don't let him get started again... Reason isn't going to help you, you should be aware of that by now. You know he won't stop pestering you until the thread dies. Then he'll find another thread in which to harrass you. Best to heed the advice of the Tsssst episode of South Park and ignore him.
