Was that at the same time as Hitzlsberger was signed for 6 months? How many months did EB get?

He scored 14 goals last season - from 40 games.

Why would Reading waste money on a player like this?

In a relegated team. Must amass to nearly 50% of wolves total.
He's only in his mid to late 20's and built like a tank. Would be a great Jason Roberts type player for the one up front system.
If he's a free agent it must be worth a punt. His discipliary problems of the past should fade with maturity and he could be quality for us and our system of play under Adkins.

He can play for Jamaica - let's sign him to join the other four that play for them.

It does kinda fit with the 'Reading Way' i.e he's a free agent so no transfer fee
His stats look ok as well goal scored 61 goals in 177 games in 5 yrs at Wolverhampton Squanderers... 1 goal every 3 games at 35 games per season, and he had 21 goals in 66 apps for Plymouth which is roughly the same scoring/appearance rate
So if this dude has made this up - it's a well researched piece of shite

I would not have a problem with this, was great at this level a couple of seasons back.

You should have, he has a dodgy knee and it's unlikely any Championship club will go near him until he's back fit, which he isn't! He's out till about October/November.

Massive problem then.
I confess to not having kept up to speed with his injury progress, I assumed that RFC would carry out some sort of fitness examination before rattifying this deal.

If his come back from injury was successful he could be very handy!

Pretty good then
Same as Doyle the season after we were relegated first time

Apart from Doyle getting 18 in 42, exactly the same.

Jesus - sorry Spacey
Ok roughly the same, considering they were relegated that is a good return

Yeah. He's been top-scorer in the Championship twice. Really we ought to be looking at players who have done it at least 3 times and probably far more.

Don't get emotional mate, just giving my opinion, seeing as we've been linked to Sharp , Lambert , Austin, he isn't on the same level as them and I personally don't think he's better than what we've got

Why do people seem to keep forgetting the massive contribution that Roberts made in the Chumpionship.
That was 21months ago, he was old then and, after promotion, I would not have kept him on. BMcD chose to and he then got injured and hardly featured in our Premiership Season. He has now had a Hip Op and is still unavailable. If he was 24 he would be worth waiting for - he isn't and he should not be on our books.
Also, as a late arrival two seasons ago, he did add impetus to our Promotion. However, his input was nothing like as much as your reply suggests. It was the players who played the whole Season who gave us Promotion.

People, look at who claimed this is happening. It's all a bit redundant.

All I know is is that he broke his leg in April and hasn't played since missing all pre-season so not much use to us! Having said that whenever I have seen him play I've always been quite impressed.
