Onomah CM at Spurs is a decent shout

Spurs had a clearout and others available include:
Vorm keeper
Tripper and Aurier RB's
Rose LB
Carter-Vickers CB
Sissoko and Wanyama CM
Jansen and Lloriente CF
Nkoudou winger

Not saying we will get any of them, or that they'd want to come here, etc, etc, just saying.
Of those, at a guess, I'd say Onomah and Jansen might be get-able.
Onomah would be a great shout. Carter-Vickers was on loan at Swansea last season and that’s where I can see him going this time around.
I've been impressed every time I've seen Onomah. Tidy player.

Yep, agreed, me too.

Saw this a week ago, which indicates Steve Bruce (who had him at Villa) wants to sign him permanently at Sheff Wed (although Bruce may be off to Newcastle anyway):

I believe Leroy Fer was released by Swansea.

DC - Bielik, Hector or Tomori. Caglar Soyuncu would be amazing on loan, but that's even less realistic than the first 3
DMC - Ezatolahi! It's very weird what happened to him. He was the second coming before he got injured!
AM - Wanderson Galeno seems to have been touted with a lot of excitement, but its another long shot. We already have Swift, Barrett, Olise, Loader, Meite and Barrow - I'm not sure supporting attackers are needed. Nonetheless, the Marcus Maddison shout is an excellent one. The Peterborough chairman doesn't sell cheap though...
S - It's Oliveira or bust for me. I'm not sure why, his goal record isn't amazing, but if Gomes wants him that bad, if he has 27 odd caps for Portugal, then he's good enough for me.

Some complications (£) but Baker is more realistic than it was this time last week (and player would return given a chance) and Ejaria is training with LFC u23s ahead of a loan move.

Can still see them being two.

Oliveira looks more like he's off to Greece by the day.

Would your 4 all be with the idea of them being in the first 11 or would you get prem youngsters to back up our youngsters and let them develop with the prem loanes slotting in and out when needed? Or maybe a 2 and 2 split?

Where Baker, Miazga and Martinez were ideal was because they are all young, fairly experienced and with a massive point to prove

That has to be the starting point for who we bring in on loan.

Still have not given up hope that we might get Ejaria, Baker and Miazga back.

I would be happy with those three - even if we make no other signings this summer.

Then next summer (assuming we survive) more high earners will have moved on, FFP will be less of an issue and we can make longer term plans.

If we only sign one more player, it absolutely MUST be a central midfielder. Swift is an asset to any championship side, but only if he’s played in an advanced position. Rinomota is also a class player, but needs someone to chip in with the legwork. If Rino gets injured we’re oxf*rd. Baker was great, but he’s gone now... we need his replacement!

saw the name pop up again on Twitter, but Ezatolohi would fit straight in imo. Give Rino and Swift a solid base to work from. Knows the club, players, manager and system, and seemed keen to stay on.

Not sure of the finances etc, or what Gomes thought of him mind you.

Him and a striker or winger and I think we'd be good to go

Ezatolohi was a strange one - we kept hold of him for the whole season, even though he was injured for the majority of it, then when he was fit Gomes didn't play him/appear to fancy him. Ezatolohi seemed to be positive about the club though, and is he now a free agent?

yeah it was strange. Didn't fancy him, but did still bring him into the squad and have on the bench, rather than exile him like Kelly. Still at Rostov apparently, so dunno what the story is

Possibly the club have seen something to suggest his injury might have lasting affects? His recovery seemed to drag on forever. Player like him would ask for a reasonable wage so would be a huge risk if there is doubt about his long term fitness.
