Surridge is currently starring for Nashville SC and presumably making loads of dosh in the MLS.

Shame, funnily enough that’s him off the radar then.

He's on $60k (~£45k) per week over there: https://mlsplayers.org/resources/salary-guide

Is Will Keane fit to play or injured? If he’s not injured he must be a fair bet for an enquiry from Leam

Edit: had a look and he’s returned from injury a while ago but barely been making the squad. Good chance of this happening id have thought? Unless he wants to stay up north

If Reading were looking at this then think it’d be a loan deal which makes sense as he’s now in the last 6 months of his current contract. He’s played on loan at QPR and for Ipswich previously so he has been based in the south before.

Would he be keen though?

Think I’d rather have Hope & Keen’s crazy bus

Saw on X someone suggest we should look at Matt Godden on loan from Charlton.

Not the target man striker we want but knows where the goal is. Would be a good backup for Marriot

Good player but he scored a lot for Charlton last year and been injured ever since. Apparently still injured and due back later this month. Think they’ll give him a chance at champ level before offloading

Not sure selling it as ‘backup to Marriott’ would exactly entice him either

To think we would sign a player who's already injured!

Mention on Twitter (is that your account Brogue?) that we have enquired after Keane

If we did get him and Santos in I think we’d be in great shape tbh

If we have enquired, it could be a good short term move, he is 33 next week after all. Experience is good but need to ensure we don't go too far one way or the other.

Would be very hapy with that. Maybe a Left Back too but not sure who would be available.

Thoughts on:

Josh Edwards - Charlton
Jake Bidwell - Coventry
Harry Pickering - Blackburn Rovers

All out of favour in the Championship, very experienced

James Morris - Watford

If the above are unavailable he could be worth a punt, out of contract in the Summer.

Being linked with Bolton's Victor Adeboyejo.

Pete O'Rourke on Twitter -
Understand Ross County have rejected multiple bids from several League One and League Two sides for star striker Ronan Hale.
Could one of them be us?

We were heavily linked in Summer. Would be surprised if we paid any kind of substantial transfer fee this window.

According to this article https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leagu ... utchinson/ the clubs rumored are Gillingham, Salford, Wigan and Stevenage.

Between us and Mansfield apparently, could be a shrewd signing. Has been good at this level before.

He was good a few years ago

Off to Mansfield apparently. Not played a first team game in nearly a year at this level so not sure he would have been someone we were going to push the boat out on or offer more than a deal until the summer.

Getting desperate now.

Nicolas de Préville

James Wilson

Felix Platte

All been free agents since summer. Pool of available strikers is dwindling.

Unless of course we're going to pay a fee, which going off the fact we appear to have missed out on Adeboyejo, I doubt very much.

Don’t remember Adeboyejo that well but think he may have been more a 10 than a CF? Think he’d only have been cover really

We should be looking for someone who will come in and make a difference, with the aim to start most games imo

We don’t need a lot I don’t think (LB seems quite well covered to me) so should focus our energy and money on one striker who is genuinely on the level to battle Marriott and KE for a starting spot.
