Saw it on EFL gateway. £200k might buy one of his boots.
Luton Town are pushing to sign Reading midfielder Lewis Wing in a deal believed to be worth around £200K
The ex-Middlesbrough man registered 22 goal contributions for the Royals last season and is understood to be open to the move
Personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
I have some boots for sale at very reasonable prices should you require some. Exactly the same as the ones Lewis Wing wears

Does he live in Reading?
I suspect not.
Anyway, my point being it's not like Carlisle's being discussed.
It's pretty rare for a footballer to live in the same town as they play in isn't it? Lot of the McDermott era players lived in Ascot, no idea if that's still the current fave. Only players who I know to have lived in the town centre was Yakou in the nice apartments behind the Roseate Hotel and Felipe Araruna in Verto, next door to BoBs.

think ive seen reports that his kids were settled in schools in wycombe which was one of the reasons he came to us cos he didnt have to move house. so i'm guessing he lives over that way. If thats the case then that makes the commute to luton even shorter at well under an hour

Al Habsi used to live in those flats overlooking the river opposite the station. Boring fact to add to the above. Used to see him round there a fair bit

No, that was Curo. Long lived in Shinfield near L'Ortolan, around the corner from Little and Harper.
Lita lived on the Eversley Road, 3 minutes drive in his Hummer from Hogwood.

I love that the players from that period lived in the town or in the immediate vicinity
I wonder where Shane Long lives now. I know he's in a very nice house as his Wife (from Reading) often posts videos there.

Would sometime see Tom Holmes around the Bulmershe / Hamilton Road area of East Reading. Not sure if he or his folks lived there, whether he roomed in the area when he was in the Academy or if he'd just picked his car up from the College Arms.

Don't know if he still lives there, but I saw him when I was out for a walk during lockdown. He was on the phone, pushing a buggy, and he had hair, so I only noticed it was him as he was going past me.

Can confirm. In fact I am sitting on my mum’s balcony typing this, looking at Al Habsi’s place.

This thread has seriously gone well off the original subject.
Who cares where players and ex players lived?
