Where do we need strengthening anyway?
His preference is to buy youngsters who challenge for a place in the first team after 18 months or so.
A while ago he hinted he was after a striker, that was probably to put a bolt up the arse of our present strikers.
Why would he sell £1,000,000 Lita and go shopping again, with all the uncertainty that presents?
In my opinion we need to cover Ivar's position but that's not overly urgent.

Lita has had his attitude questioned numerous times, is a free in the summer too. I think it's more than sensible to look at a new striker now, and if possible, use Lita as a makeweight in any deal.
There is cover for Ivar, in Pearce! Hreidersson (sp?) is also rumoured to sign tomorrow, and that again is defensive cover.

In all seriousness i doubt it, he probably was there scouting someone else longer term, he's probably had a sit down with Hammond a week or so ago and said wouldn't mind another left sider, he knows Dan Harding having worked with him at Brighton, knows what he's like as a person and a player, a bit like when we signed Owusu, a low risk loan signing that Coppell knows will do a steady job in the short term. I doubt any scouting has taken place for this one.
