Taken from Neil Warnocks column in today Independent - could it have been about Watson, or would Bugs be responsible???

"And now I'm off to Reading, where, as some of you will recall, I've some great mates and am really popular. Funnily enough, I spoke to Steve Coppell on another matter last week. Though obviously I'm not a big fan of everything around Reading, I've always liked Steve."

No Ben Watson - Conspiracy or Injury ?

So no Watson in the Palace team, so unless he's been transferred already and I've missed it (perfectly possible) or he's injured (there's nothing on the Palace website) I presume he must have been left out due to his impending departure to the MadStad.

So why no mention of the injury.

Maybe he didn't have time to get ready for the game after his medical.

He has fallen out with Warnock so would you expect him to play him?

I expect he's going elsewhere given Coppell's comments at the fans forum.

Surely if Watson is on his way here, then that paves the way for Harps to leave! :o

Warnock has stated that until Watson signs a new deal and confirms he wants to stay he will be left to rot in the reserves. So I doubt that a no show against us means he's signing. Although I hope I'm wrong!
