Increasingly, I'm coming to the view 2 more may be enough. A holding midfielder alongside Rino and a striker. If we can get in Ejaria too then great, but it looks like we're missing out.
Holsgrove, East, Olise, Barrett, Howe, McIntyre, and Loader all look ready to make an impact this year and so if we have a solid starting 11 with some experienced squad players like Baldock, Adam and Morrison we could be well set. I'd bring McCleary back in if we can't shift him.

Off topic a bit but just thought I'd mention Ben Woodburn as he was discussed earlier in the thread... Apparently about to join oxf*rd of all teams on loan.

Onomah would be a great shout.
I've been impressed every time I've seen Onomah. Tidy player.
Yep, agreed, me too.
Just fyi, Onomah is still available. There were some rumors Hudders (who just sold Billing for 15 mil) want him, but their local rag deny it:
Huddersfield Town's true stance on Tottenham midfielder revealed...
"Josh Onomah has been linked with a move to the Terriers but the Examiner understands there is nothing in it.
Reports that Huddersfield Town have 'opened talks' with Tottenham in a bid to sign 22-year-old attacking midfielder Josh Onomah are wide of the mark, according to sources close to the Terriers.
Football Insider report had suggested that Town were 'looking to win the race' for the former Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa loanee, who has been capped by England at Under-21 level.
But the Examiner understands those reports do not have any truth to them, despite word to the contrary coming out of London.
Onomah made 15 appearances for the Owls in an injury-hit campaign last season, playing in every position across the midfield and picking up three assists. The year before he was at Villa and scored four goals in 33 Championship appearances.
This is not the first time Onomah has been linked with Town: his name also came up among the usual transfer gossip in summer 2017".

Well, that's 4 signings made since this thread started and only 1 of them was mentioned on this thread. Shows what we all know really, doesn't it.
I think it's been a reasonable window so far. We've not lost anyone we couldn't afford to lose, there's been a logic to the signings and it's all been done under budget restrictions.
I think we still need a DM and I'm not overly convinced by the GK options but I'm more confident about next season than I was a month ago.

Reckon Ejaria may well join on deadline day when Liverpool can't sell him. Obvs if Brentford are flush with cash from selling any of the 3 or 4 15 million rated players they seem to have (trying to work out how they didn't walk the league last year with so much talent) then that might change

They're already flush with cash this summer. If they really wanted him he'd be there already

Yep. Got a feeling a lot of their cash might be going towards the new stadium.

Ideally you would bring the loan 4 back but that is not always possible (Miazga, Ejaria, Baker, Oliveira)
so if you had to pick a REALISTIC alternative 4 who would you have
for me it would be
CB Semi Ajayi (Rotherham) 1 bid this summer supposedly not matching £1m price tag
CM Mason Mount (Likely to go back to Derby) or Danny Williams (Free transfer)
AM Harry WIlson, Kenedy, Piazon on Loan
CF Ben woodburn on Loan or Bit left field but Andy Carroll hes not seeming to be getting many offers and a free agent, see how desperate he is to play.
We needed 4 as of 12 July, and ended up with 9.
Rafael,
Morrison, Miazga,
Adam, Pele, Boye, Ejaria
Joao, Puscas
Could be worse.
Interesting seeing where those suggested above ended up.
Ajayi to WBA,
Mount in Chelsea's first team
Williams - still appears to be a free agent
Harry Wilson - on loan at Bournemouth
Kenedy - we were linked with, stayed at Chelsea (Kia represented)
Piazon - still at Chelsea (Kia represented)
Ben Woodburn - League One Swindon
Andy Carroll - Newcastle.

I may have been aiming a bit high but still who would have thought we would sign 9. Big shock for me was Woodburn to Swindon he could walk that league for them.

Yep, will be interesting to see how he gets on. Really seems to have stagnated in his development (James Wilson anyone?).
Also, re the new signings and Kia's involvement. I did a thing:

Read your piece yesterday and really enjoyed it, top work. As with players, consistency is key!
