Maybe. Depends on what his advisors say to him. Be part of an Ox*ord team that's in a Championship relegation battle, or at Reading where you'll almost certainly be a starter, looking up instead of down and training and playing in better surroundings than at Ox*ord.
If we manage to pull this one off, it'll be a big step forward for Couhig & JJ and their relationship with fans. One of those transfers that could be looked back on as a turning point, in the future.

Wonder if we’ll be stuck with MoM for the season - does seem that way. Weird he isn’t even playing u21 games
I mean, why would we block an Academy player getting U21 games for a someone else's player who is a failed senior signing?
He should be begging his club to recall him and send him back out somewhere else imo.
Perhaps he’s just injured.

To keep fitness in case we have another injury crisis?

I'd rather stick Paudie upfront.

Brogue’s mate from the Chron reckons we’ve had a bit accepted for Lisbie now

A bit of what? Money?

In hindsight, it feels like the summer was just too soon. Not enough of a handle of budgets to run the club, not enough confidence in the manager and coaching staff and not a clear plan on the positions we needed to strengthen, none of which is surprising in hindsight.
Whereas we've shown our ambition this window. Ward, Roberts and now Lisbie will strengthen us and have resale value, Keane is a good short term fix and I suspect we may well see Nyambe stay too when his contract expires in the summer. Really well thought out signings.

Colchester journo reporting it'll only happen if they can get a replacement in.

Can't see us or him going for that.

I wasn’t a huge Noel Hunt fan but wonder how he feels on all this support given to the new manager

£730k is what we've offered. Half up front, with a 15% sell on, and some add on's are part of the deal. it's been accepted pending them being able to get someone else in. Player wants to come.

Yeh, either the money wasn't there at the time, while they waited for more investors. Or he got well and truly stitched up. Maybe a bit of both.

And certainly they won’t go for Camara either.

Maybe he oversold the capabilities of last season's team?

Or possibly Noel didn’t really push his case or the players weren’t available for deals to be done.

It does seem a huge contrast as to how much money we've been willing to spend in this window compared to what we're spending now. I do wonder where this money is coming from specifically and how it affects our SCMP costs.

Rumour was Colchester wanted a replacement for him; wonder if they're struggling on that front. Still wouldn't be surprised if things suddenly moved very quickly.
