He won't see much football at palace so he wil have to move on sooner or later.

Palace are now looking to sign the South American centre-half Sorondo before the deadline. Powell could well be slipping even further down the pecking order....

Bit confused about the title of this thread. How does a rumour that we might still be tracking a player that we actually had a bid accepted for last season and the club has openly acknowledged it still has an interest in signing qualify as "news"?
We might well sign him and I hope we do, but I don't think many people would be overly surprised if we did.

I tell you a good signing if we could afford him would be Dixon Etuhu (Preston).
Defensive midfielder who has played at the back when required, big tall muscular lad and would add that bit of bite we're missing.
I think SDR has finally ran it's course!

The trouble is that IF we sign Powell now SDR will come back claiming he forecast it! The fact is he got it totally wrong on the first post on this thread - Powell did not sign within 10 days, nor was he going to.

If you are talking about Powell, then the Powell at West Ham is a different Powell to the one we tried to sign.
Do I need to accept a whooosh for that?

In the pre-season there was much talk on here about Emerson Boyce, then at Luton. Pity we didn't get him. He did a creditable job for Crystal Palace marking Thierry Henry yesterday.
