OK, I'll play then, BR. I've still got most of the skills I had as a yoof and the only reason I don't play is that I take about five minutes to recover from the exertion of putting my boots on.
Granted that energy isn't everything, but it certainly helps. You consistently refuse to accept that Hunt at his best (and he seems to be getting back to that now) is a player well worth having in your team.

Hunt at his best is definitely worth his place in the side at Championship level but IMHO he has not been at his best in this calendar year and reports of his second-coming (evidence Luton in the Carling Cup but not in other games) is IMHO a great exaggeration.

I thought Hunt played very well against Plymouth. He then played well against Charlton going forwards (yes he left gaps which show LB is not his best position). He then reverted to LW and was outstanding against Luton.

"yes he left gaps",sorry Andrew but that is terribly irresponsible play and not thinking of the team.
I think HR and I might have looked good against Luton.

Give him a break - he is a midfielder playing out of position. He did well at LB overall IMO

Hate to say it but after Everton missed out on Riera I can see them turning to Hunt.

Would be absolutely gutted if Hunt goes, he really is the heartbeat of the team this season. We`d miss his drive, passion, workrate, corners and non stop running. I`d go as far and say he would be irreplaceable.

Harper is better at all those things than Hunt, yet everyone says he's a bad player

Harper can't take corners.

Take the money. £5m for Hunt is the greatest robbery since £2m for Sonko.
