The thing is, if we sell these two for £7m then we wont see that money again, not on transfers anyway, so i dont really care how much they go for cos its meaningless money IMHO.

On the contrary, I think that is exactly the sort of player Church could become given the chance. You clearly didn't see the Wales game on Saturday. Churchy was very impressive for the 70 minutes he played - much better than Earnshaw.
I've never said he didn't look good, but remind me how many professional career goals he's scored and in how many appearances? I don't know the exact numbers but I don't think it's very impressive. And I doubt he is going to miraculously become the player you think he is in time to score 15+ goals next season.
So it doesn't change my point we're looking light on goalscorers.

Has Leroy signed for anyone yet?

Who is Lita?
If he's a football player, it's likely that he's employed to the end of June, so not out-of-contract yet.

He has been released, so he is out of contract.

However the money is used (even if it just sits in the bank) it will help make us a stronger club.

well he's been told his contract won't be renewed, even though it runs out on June 30th
i haven't even heard a whisper of anyone being interesed in Leroy. He would have gone to NOrwich if they had stayed up

My point, he is still contracted until the end of June and as such we won't let him go anywhere until then.
LOL if he can't get a SW team to be interested in him and he ends up a long way from Bristol!

I thought we told them their contracts won't be renewed & released them from the current contracts to get rid of them.

Players are free to negotiate new deals from January in the year in which their contract runs out though. There is no reason why Lita can't have a new deal lined up already, although we do hold his registration until the end of the month. I don;t think we can effectively stop him doing anything in the meantime. Any club with whom he has an agreement won;t be playing matches.

I think given the chance next season Church will score a few and become better and better

That is quite some prediction.

I'm willing to be more specific in my prediction. Church won't start 10+ games as a striker or score 10+ goals next season.

Are Villa assembling the RFC 106-pointers again?

Not according to their fansite - they can't wait to get rid of Shorey.

Ah, of course.

On his day he's the 3rd best English LB.
Which isn't saying too much.

I think this season will see a star born in Churchy! You've got John Tashack telling the press he will be better than Craig Bellamy. The boy will certainly start more than 10 games. Goals? Who knows.
I'll bet he scores more than Long though!

That's the Shane long that scored nine league goals last season, Church will do well to score as well as long did last season.

Long is utter dross. If he plays every week, we're in trouble. The amount of touches he needs to bring the ball under control makes Kebe look like Christiano Ronaldo.

Did you go to any of the last 5 or 6 games?
