New suitors Reading and Leeds have joined Crystal Palace, Ipswich and Middlesbrough in the race for Wolves' striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's services.

Not that exciting and probably BS. But still a rumour.
14 goals last season for Wolves which isn't bad for a relegated team. So..
Yay or Nay?

I'd say yes, especially if Roberts' career is over.
He can definitely do a job as a lone striker

Could do worse I guess - an improvement on Hunt, Church and Roberts.

Why do people seem to keep forgetting the massive contribution that Roberts made in the Chumpionship.

I'm not, but Roberts is unlikely to come back the same player now as he was then - not undervaluing what he did two seasons ago, if we hadn't signed him we wouldn't have gone up.

i can't see us being interested considering his injuries. he's a big risk, but a quality striker.

Can't help but think he'd have been a great signing three years ago, but no so sure now.

We've already got the proven Championship scorers in Jase and Alf (assuming they stay), so Adkins will rightly be looking for young, hungry, talented, FIT players for balanced options up front. Not sure how SEB fits any of those.
Looking for his last big pay cheque too?
Nah. Remember NHunt?

Neither Roberts or ALF are particularly proven Championship scorers. At least in anything like recent terms. ALF scored well off the bench but is less proven starting. Roberts got half a dozen, but is in his 30s, injured, hasn't played a full Championship season for years and has a fairly poor PL scoring record over the last 5 or so years. Added to that, we may play two upfront regularly and so need at least three good scorers, preferably four.
