The 4 needed to complete the team

With a GK signed we have 4 other places to fill in the team CB, AM/Winger, CM and CF

Ideally you would bring the loan 4 back but that is not always possible (Miazga, Ejaria, Baker, Oliveira)

so if you had to pick a REALISTIC alternative 4 who would you have

for me it would be

CB Semi Ajayi (Rotherham) 1 bid this summer supposedly not matching £1m price tag
CM Mason Mount (Likely to go back to Derby) or Danny Williams (Free transfer)
AM Harry WIlson, Kenedy, Piazon on Loan
CF Ben woodburn on Loan or Bit left field but Andy Carroll hes not seeming to be getting many offers and a free agent, see how desperate he is to play.

I think some of those are very optimistic. Ajayi would be a great signing but we can’t afford him. Rotherham will get considerably more than that.
Mason Mount will go to a better club than us.
Danny Williams is more realistic but not really a Gomes type plus his wages might be an issue.
Harry Wilson. Absolutely zero chance of him coming to us. Kenedy? Not sure who you mean. Are you referring to the Chelsea player? If so I doubt he would want to come to a struggling Championship team. Piazon no thanks. Once was enough.

Ben Woodburn. Possibly but again I think he would go to a bigger Championship club.
Andy Carroll. Please no plus his wages would be a big issue.

Much as I appreciate your enthusiasm, signing either shit players or players we can't afford is precisely what is got us in this mess in the first place, but hey, it's the weekend and I'll have some of what you're smoking.

I'm happy with the approach of signing hungry loan players who will bring a bit of quality

If not the lads that came in last year, similar characters at a similarly low price tag. There are plenty at Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea who I would happily take - depends what can be negotiated

Who would you go for then I was looking at bargain basement and loans anyway.

thought Bielik as well. Prob go back to Charlton though

would fancy trying to twist Arsenal's arm to lend us Joe WIllock, Eddie Nketiah or Reiss Nelson, but understand they are all now in the first team squad

Chelsea have so many on loan that lose track, but Hector would be good. Izzy Brown maybe if he is fully fit.

Maybe can get a bit more favour through his mate Silva at Everton as well - again not that knowledgable of their squad

Reckon those 3 (and even maybe Bielik with the whole Kos thing) are untouchable.

Andy Carroll bargain basement ? Really ?
I did say it was left field and he would need to take a paycut

Some premier league team will take a punt in him. Newcastle probably..

I think Oliveira will sign this evening

Ejaria once we shift McNulty / Meyler

Galeno once we shift McLeary

Miazga once we shift Gunter

Generally, we are going to have to go a bit more leftfield than the usual group of named Premier League starlets or big names on their way down as they will cost too much. We don't have any transfer budget to speak of either so I think anything over £500,000 will be out of our range.

Ejaria would be a good start as we know what he is capable of, he knows the club and won't cost the earth. I think other signings will be people that no-one has considered, possibly from Portugal or Spain but I'm not really in the game of playing CM wonderkid bingo, especially as the parent clubs of players like Wilson, Woodburn, Kenedy and Mount will not be looking to loan them out for a Championship relegation dogfight.

Onomah CM at Spurs is a decent shout

Spurs had a clearout and others available include:
Vorm keeper
Tripper and Aurier RB's
Rose LB
Carter-Vickers CB
Sissoko and Wanyama CM
Jansen and Lloriente CF
Nkoudou winger

Not saying we will get any of them, or that they'd want to come here, etc, etc, just saying.
Of those, at a guess, I'd say Onomah and Jansen might be get-able.

Onomah would be a great shout. Carter-Vickers was on loan at Swansea last season and that’s where I can see him going this time around.
