Saw it on EFL gateway. £200k might buy one of his boots.
Luton Town are pushing to sign Reading midfielder Lewis Wing in a deal believed to be worth around £200K
The ex-Middlesbrough man registered 22 goal contributions for the Royals last season and is understood to be open to the move
Personal terms are not expected to be a problem.

Read another article on this saying the same re price etc and which also advised Wing was keen on the move.....
I can see him moving on this summer (although obvs not for £200k) his body language and occasional comments to the bench was all wrong last season, under both Hunt and Richardson.

If he wants a move then it'll probably happen but I can't see us budging over £200k and I would expect Lewis to understand he's worth far more than that.

Total bollocks. Can we at least apply some skepticism before regurgitating rumours on here?

I think people read too much into "body language" - it's just frustration. He no doubt feels just as strongly as fans with the performances, and is either being coached and isntructed to play in a certain way, is just not having a good game(s) or just doesn't get on with Richardson.
I remember about 12-24 months ago, sometime in that area. He and his wife both said repeatedly how happy theyw ere to be at the club - and I don't mean one of those soft interviews they do. I am talking about his wife on Twitter getting involved in community projects, going to the Purple Turtle, replying to fans, taking part in things.
Also, he's very good friends with Perriera, going away as couples with him and his partner. Not saying this would stop a move, but there's more to it than simply saying "his body language was off" when it's a shitty day in RG2, and we're once again having a shitty game.

100% ... I'd hope his body language to be a bit off if his team keeps under-performing. I think I'd be worried if he looked really happy - like the Leyton Orient were when they just scraped staying up despite terrible performances.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he was looking elsewhere if he thinks the football they've been asked to play under Richardson isn't going to change anytime soon. If he is that should ring a few alarm bells for the owners.

Absolute disaster if he was to leave IMO. His numbers speak for themselves - even in a completely bang average season.
But then would you blame him, some of our numpty keyboard warrior fans coming for him and his Mrs on X (which is beyond embarrassing) on numerous occasions.
Style of play probably a frustration for him too?
For me, he is head and shoulders above the rest of the team - a Championship player playing in League One.

I agree with this. His wife has said repeatedly that their plan was always to come to Reading to retire here and create a stable life for their family and children. It wouldn't really make sense to up-route again and move to luton unless there was a substantial financial improvement. And realistically, is he likely to make that much more money at luton, than by staying here? I doubt it.

Where does he live?
Reading -> Luton, ~1hr commute ... so likely wouldn't have to move the family.

Yep, but if you're not happy at work those types of plans can change. Last chance of a bumper contract given his age. Realistically he's found his level in League One. If he was 25 a Championship team may take a chance on him but at his age and not having established himself in the Championship with Middlesbrough* I can see why nobody higher up has come in for him already. I put him in a similar bracket to Caskey, was outstanding for us in League 1 but you could see his shortcomings that stopped him playing at a higher level. Although if we could somehow repeat what we did then and replace Wing with the Sidwell and Harper equivalents I'm all for it.

42 minutes by car to Luton's training ground, according to Google Maps (compared to 30 minutes to Bearwood).

Mad stuff!!!
The AA say 1 hour 5 minutes, which is incredible given that it takes 15 to 20 minutes to even get out of Reading these days.

Does he live in Reading?
I suspect not.
Anyway, my point being it's not like Carlisle's being discussed.

Saw this on Facebook, but the article was an AI generated thing. So non-starter.
