Ok thought might as well have a look at opinions with this one. SIR STEVE is INCLUDED for those who feel it is unfair or disrespectful to think about this when he hasnt gone yet but lets face it we should start thinking about a probable possibility that we will have a new manager come august.
If you have a OTHER name do mention it!!!

well its not going to be Dowie as he's going to unveiled as QPR manager in the next few days
if Coppell doesn't stay and that is a big if, then i wouldn't mind seeing Roberto Martinez. Got Swansea playing some bloody good stuff

Re Martinez - Exactly what I have been saying for the last 2 months now on the assumption that coppell would go (he is still my first choice!)
However it would not surprise me if we go for an experienced manager - and when I was going through the candidates last night peter Taylor (depsite falling on hard times) ticks some boxes. Not saying I want him - but I think the reading managements might be tempted!
I also wonder if Terry Venables would like one last challenge?

Would be delighted with Hoddle/Allerdyce (crap football but knows how to get the best out of players)/ or Parky. However would much rather Coppell stayed (just can't see it).

Sanchez, I just have a feeling. Failing that Billy Davis.

Think we'll struggle to get anyone else,
said well before, we'll get Sanchez, but would like to give ooh-aargh-Phillip Parkinson a good chance!
or maybe give the Guvnor a rung up to the Prem!

Allerdyce is wishful thinking. He will wait for a Premiership job to come up. I doubt he will fancy dropping down the the Champsionship.
But agree, I would rather Coppell Stays, but it appears all the souns coming from the clun and the manager suggests he has made his deciosn to leave. Still think Hoddle will be appointed...not that I am a huge fan of the idea. And Sanchez???? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOOOOOOO!

I've already made it clear to people that I went with yesterday that if Laurie Sanchez becomes our manager then I won't go until he leaves.
We can't afford Allardyce, I'd have him though as he's successful. I like the idea of Billy Davies. What about Pardew with Parky as assistant?? No, ok then. The only man is surely......CoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppellCoppell

The only name on the list other than Steve Coppell that is of any interest would be Allardyce, the thought of Hoddle,Sanchez,McClaren is too frightening to contemplate.
I am sure Coppell is going, if Allardyce does n´t come then much against my better judgement would go for Pardew and Parky. Not an ideal situation but better than any of the others.

Chairman has links with Hoddle - Im sure that they will come to an agreement should it be Hoddle that he selects

I said months ago that I thought Hoddle would possibly be involved in the next shake up.
I'd not be surprised if Parky was involved either, maybe not as manager but maybe in some other capacity.

Not sure if Hoddle is the right choice, he didn't do a lot for the yids or Southampton.... not that i can think of anyway!

He did alrigth with Southampton hence the reason they were so pissed off when he ran off the Spurs.
He did ok at Spurs, nothing too great but he did get them to a cup final.
Wolves was probably more mediocre, but I don't think he had the money Wolves were used to spending.

So the big question: WILL STEVE LEAVE ?
answer = YES
So the next big question: WHO WILL TAKE OVER ?
I've heard many a rumour since the game yesterday but one i have heard mentioned a lot and has a close relation to the club, Leroy Rosenior, ex Torquay United manager and father of Reading's Liam.
What do you all think about that appointment, if made ?
