Leaving Burnley on a free after failing to agree terms.
Always thought he was a decent player, certainly at CCC level, could be worth picking up....

Go for it.
Except that Nigel Howe has publically stated that in order for players to come in, others must go out first.

I took that as players on fees, ie if we sell Shorey for £5m then we can use that cash on new players.
We've freed up wages and some numbers already releasing Oster et al....

My mate who is season ticket holder at Burnley says, and I quote, "He's oxf*rd rubbish, he can't pass, tackle, shoot or dribble, is too small to annoy people and you don't notice he's playing."

In and out of a rather average Burnley side.
There's a reason he being released.
Hardly what we are looking for.
Would be cheap and low pressure though. We'll prob sign him.

He had been offered a new deal but he was stalling, so they released him. They wanted him to stay.

Looked good when he started out at Stoke but he doesn't seem to have really pushed on since then.
An average Championship midfielder.
I hope we'll be setting our sights a little higher, if not we're going to end up as an average Championship side again.

Well he's signed for the Mighty Wednesday.
Like I said, hardly the sort of plyer we'd be looking at.
