Coppell after Chris Eagles for £2m (Been confirmed by a source at the club now)

Good signing for Reading if they get him.

It's not a source, it's a link to a thread where this should have been posted.

He would be a good signing IMO. He done well for Watford a few years ago in the CCC. He has not had first team football in a while and if he got a lot of games i recon he could be a very useful player.

At the end of the day, he can't be any worse than Kebe so IMO he is worth a punt.

Compared the other options like Kebe, it's an improvement to our squad.

Manchester United winger Chris Eagles will join Burnley in the next 48 hours in a £1m-plus deal. (Daily Mirror)

I hope we are also interested. Eagles meets all our criteria, right sided, young and hungry and bought up the United way. He's well within our budget and WWNBAP.

Finally we're linked with someone who'd be a good signing.

We aren't linked with him though, and Burnley seem to have all but done the deal.

LOL @ Kes telling people we were close to a £2m deal which of course we wouldn't pay anyway, and then he goes for half the amount.

Good-we can then pick up Wade Elliott from Burnley who IMHO is as good as if not better than the spindly Eagles.i

Yes but he is getting cheaper by the year so for a hard-up club like ours he is within the radar.
Also with Kitson gone we do need a replacement ex-shelf-filler which Wade is,especially with our new sponsors. :D

Most RFC supporters think he would be a decent signing and he has shown plenty of promise for teams he played for on loan. The fact that we have shown no interest and he is going to Burnley just shows how tin pot our club actually is.

Out:
Kitson £5.5m

In:
Stephen Hunt's Brother £ F**k all

JOKE.

You're half right, it shows how pathetic Coppell's knowledge of the market is.

Tbf, Burnley are the only team interested, so he either ain't that good, or the rest of the managers in the league also have a pathetic knowledge of the market.

Or how restricted Coppell's budget is!

LOL @ Coppell having no knowledge of who Chris Eagles is.
