Michael Mifsud set to join Reading By Football Spy 24/12/2008

Reading are set to add extra bite to their attack with the £300,000 signing of Coventry striker Michael Mifsud.

The Malta star, 27, known as The Mosquito, is out of contract this summer so is available for a cut-price fee.

I wonder where the magic number of £300k came from? Nothing to do with the speculation that we will sell Lita for... £300k? More importantly, if, and it is an enormous IF he jins, will he become 3rd or 4th choice? If 4th would he really want to join. Alternatively, if 3rd, where does that leave Shane?

No thanks. Terrible attitude and he's only 3ft tall.

Do you mean Lita or Mifsud? Like for like replacement by the sound of things!

He's a player of considerable quality, and I'd back Coppell to get consistent performances from him. As a third-choice striker he'd be an excellent acquisition, IMO.

Didn't we decide against signing him when he was available on a free? Be surprised if we go in for him now...

He can play right midfield as well as up front.

Coppell said he didn't want him back then, what will have changed now

He doesn't even get in the Coventry starting line up so I doubt he's good enough to get in ours.

Decent player, but he's a bit of a Leroy in the attitude department.

He has been horrific this season when playing, and isnt even being used as a striker when he does!
